Just how big is that hot seat? Need to fit quite a few butts on it in Dallas.
Large enough to accommodate cheeks the size of truck tires? They’re a bit cheeky in Big D…

LOL,, it's a freaking forum for OPINiONS... whether right or wrong, good or bad.....there are no charges being pressed in a court of law or public lynching with burning at the stake being done here. Of course, we have no facts. Only history has provided us the facts to form an opinion. ALL teams should have coaches and staff who are held accountable for duties that are their responsibility. Its ok if you feel he should not be held accountable, but that has been the problem with this FO for the past almost three decades now.
??? Watch the videos posted. Read the scouting reports. It’s front and center.
Not a single knock on him for physical talent, it’s all bad technique.
It’s also why everyone wants to play him at guard. It won’t be as exposed as him out on the edge.
Not a huge fan of Philbin but that’s unfair. He got the tailend of Tyron and Zack’s careers. Frederick is long gone. LC was already in undisciplined millionaire mode. What new talent did Philbin get? Steele and Biadasz, and one could argue he has done exceptionally well for that talent he was given and made it work. This is his first prime talent coming in with Smith.
Again, I don’t think Philbin is a masterful Oline coach, but I do think people aren’t realizing that the line we knew is gone. We’re in the last days. Already blew it, never did anything with it, including Zeke, and have to rebuild. Whether Jerry thanks big Mac, Philbin and team are the right ones to do that, who knows. I think Jerry is just hoping this offense can do one last hurrah. Except for Tank and LVE, we’ve already given up and started rebuilding that Defense and no more Hot Boyz leftovers. Justifiably holding onto the offense a little longer because that was some damn good talent and running game at one point. All good things come to an end though. Last thing will be to see if Dak deserves to move on with the offense.
He developed Steele

Thats debatable.
They used a 4th and a 5th to get him.
He started one season and was bad for half of it.
The way this team is run they need mid round picks to be solid starters.
I like him, was all for dealing up for him, and I root for him hard, but I also think his struggles (seemingly out of nowhere) were a big part of the offense heading south.
I'm not sure if we need an upgrade or more consistency out of him, but one of the two is in order and I guess we will find out in camp.
I actually think Philbin has done a good job.
He can't make Connor Williams good or keep La'el Collins away from Krispy Kremes. He didn't make Tyron or Zack the beasts they are, nor did they need him, too.
Steele has improved, and he's working to maximize Biadasz, who just got here.
Coaching is more about drafting than actual player development. You can't make chicken salad out of Pat McQuistan.
The second half of the entire post acknowledges what you're blasting me for.Um..............that is way off. He started 4 games his rookie year not half the season and held up well considering he was coming off an injured year in college. If your going to hammer a guy at least get your information straight.
The Cowboys offense was steamrolling teams the first half of last season with Biadasz at center had a 4 or 5 game stretch where they were averaging nearly 200 yards rushing per game. Then the line fell apart. It fell apart because Smith got hurt, Collins came back and Mcgovern replaced Williams. So its easy to see it wasnt Biadasz.

On the rest, my fault. It was one season and a few games.
Look back at my posts if you're so inclined. I defended him early last year when dozens of people around here wanted him gone because they claim he couldn't snap accurately, which was not true.
His pass blocking was above average and his run blocking was bordering on elite.
I said his play dropped out of nowhere and so did the offense....at the same time.
That implies he played well at some point....which he certainly did.
So I'll stand by what I said and say again that I'm not sure if we need to replace him or we need more consistency because he got slapped around after Minnesota.
Maybe he felt like he had to keep an eye on McGovern. Not really sure.
Yeah man. You and I are on the same page for the most part on all topics. We will know this year if he is the Center of the future. His play was solid for a young guy, but still has a lot to prove.
Yeah man. You and I are on the same page for the most part on all topics.
There's others around here to argue with my friend. I'm not on that list lol.
If you say I am being unfair.. then fine. If Philbin is not to blame for all the plays where several guys on the line blocked absolutely no one then who is? And I disagree that Tyron and Zack on the tail end. Maybe Tyron is on the down side but he is still top 5 at his position when healthy. Same for Zack Martin. Both guys had to play while physically compromised because Ball, Farniok, Knight, McGovern and whomever else has been brought in under Philbin's watch have either been exposed as no better than emergency rotational players or complete no-shows. Steele is the ONLY one who has actually gotten better. The rest have gone backwards. Teams with far less talent up front figure out how to run the ball .. and how to not allow free runners into the backfield nearly every snap. That's on Philbin and Moore 100% IMHO. And they need to fix it.
