Sometimes when I read some of the things people actually believe I find myself amazed that they actually figured out how to sign on to the internet.
I used to think people just like pushing peoples buttons when they posted garbage like this. But unfortunately now I realize that some of these people are that misguided.
Trading Romo would really show that Jerry has passed Al Davis in the crazy old man category.
He would be the laughing stock of the league. Luckily for all of us fans Jerry is smart enough to not trade our best player for a gamble of a draft pick who would actually get paid more money with a huge signing bonus and guaranteed money.
The reality is Jerry wouldnt be able to make such huge moves even if he was Al Davis crazy. Making all of these moves like cutting barber and paying a backup QB 70 million would push us way over the salary cap. So they really are not possible. Add signing a guy like Logan Mankins to the mix and its just not realistic.
We have problems. But getting rid of your best player who has more heart than anyone on this team isnt the answer. Romo actually tried to put himself back in the game with a broken collarbone. That is heart. Witten almost knocked out a trainer over keeping him out of the game when he got his bell rung. Thats heart.
Not if you can get 2 number one draft picks and a 3rd rounder. I would consider that in a heart beat, especially if the trade is to someone like Cleveland, or some team that picks in the top of the NFL draft next year, 1st overall to about the 10th spot. Note, I said consider, you should always look at your options and how to keep refreshing your team with top talent like the patriots do. The Cowboys did that in the mid 70s with Ed Jones, Randy White and Tony Dorsett. I am not saying doing it, I am saying consider it, think about it, get with your scouting department and see where what players will go where, and if you can get to the ones u want. If you cant, dont do it,but if you think you can, consider it,but the trade has to be sweet like it was with the Hershel Walker trade.
I would do that in a hearbeat. Why, the Steelers had basically everything set in stone with their team, experienced offensive line(sure we need to make some moves on offensive line, but if we can go out and get Mankins OG from New England-he is a free agent next year), and draft a top OT in draft in 1st round or 2nd, then your back in contention. Also remember the steelers drafted Big Ben with the 11th overall pick, best i remember, and rest was history, with big ben taking the steelers to 2 superbowls.

Now follow here,
Cowboys have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7
If you can get 2 number ones, a 1st rounder this year, and a 3rd from a team in top 10 of the draft next year, plus a number 1 in 2012
You would have a 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7
If the Cowboys number one pick is first overall you could trade that down if you dont want Luck, possibly trade with new england, or some other team in top 5 of draft in first round, get an extra 2nd or 3rd, so going with down 4 spots or so, get an extra 2nd or 3rd, then you have
1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 2 or 3 for moving down four spots or so, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7
Do you know how many top picks that is in top 100?
7, Seven top picks in 100.
And if you trade down with New England if Oaklands pick is in top 10 to 12 of the draft, (remember we got Ware with 11th overall pick in 1st round), you would have
1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7th
Thats 8 picks in top 100. Now, you can trade back up using that extra 3rd if you make trade with new england, and take CB Peterson.
You still have ammunition to get a top
CB Peterson, top OL, top QB, and if that is to much for jerry jones to spend on number one draft picks, you can trade that 4th number one down, for a future number one, and get a 2nd and 4th this year.
Still ammunition to trade up if you need to, get good players in 2nd to 5th rounds. LIke getting a DE/LB or whatever, top safety, RB,
Thats how you rebuild and you would still if you trade that 4th number one, 3 numbers ones in 2012, more than enough ammunition to get some more impact top rated players that can change face of this team
While at same time, trading for some future probowler like another charles Haley type player that played on superbowl teams and shows this team what it takes to be a winner and championship team.
You could rock and roll then for about 7 years in dominance!
