Should Sean Lee Try To Play Or Get Season Ending Surgery?

I say cut off the whole hand & replace it with a meat hook. Let's see defenders get away from that!

Is there a report saying he needs surgery? Everything I've read has said he does not require surgery and now it's just a matter of deciding if he can hurt it more while playing in a cast.

I think in the News Zone there is an article about needing surgery or not and that it has to be further evaluated. But, surgery is an option.

But how would he get all of those interceptions? Spear the ball with his hook?

Lee shows heart, i love this guy.... maby a new leader is born.

A linebacker's assets are his legs, shoulder pads, and an aggressive nature. Hell, even cornerbacks can play with a highly protected, club hand. Sean might not intercept as many passes, but he would still be adding a lot to the defense as long as he can strike using that arm side.

Every time I think of Romo playing with a punctured lung and cracked ribs, it's makes me want to say, man up.

Not to mention his leadership abilities. Remember that saying something like this..."Football is 20% physical, 80% mental."

Linebacker Sean Lee missed Wednesday’s practice with a dislocated left wrist. Lee visited a hand specialist on Monday and he wasn’t ruling out the possibility of playing against Seattle. That would depend on how much swelling decreased in his wrist and how limited he would be wearing a protective cast.

“If I can get it wrapped up and not worry about hurting it more than it is, I’d play (Sunday),” Lee said. “I just have to be smart about it.”

That's why they have 40+ balls at every game.

sounds good to me. get him on the field if he can't make it worse.

If the Cowboys were a Super Bowl contending team this year, I would say play through it 100% but seeing as how they may not even make the playoffs, I say put him on IR.

Its not impossible for us to make a run at the super bowl.... Remember the Giants?

Putting him on IR tells the team you're giving up on this season. Bad move until mathematically eliminated imo.

Or it means there's a chance he could do further damage if he plays.. in which case i'd be all for putting him on IR.

And what we lose him for the rest of the season? What's the difference?

If the doctors feel that is the case then he should not be allowed to play. If that is not the case then he is a football player this is what they do

The difference is it could turn into a chronic problem and it would affect him long term. I see you arn't too concerned with the man's health.

I've pretty much already said the same thing, but i agree.

No, I'm not. It's not his head, neck, back, knees, or shoulders.

Women in their mid 50s who work in offices don't show up because of wrist problems. Not MLBs.

Winning a Super Bowl takes balls, toughness, and risk. Playing with injuries is part of that.
