As the trade deadline fast (too fast!) approaches, do any of you feel that the Cowboys should be active and make a move or two, or stand pat with what they've got?

Should they inquire about a #1 pick for Larry Fitzgerald from Arizona?

Contact the linebacker-starved Bengals regarding Bobby Carpenter?

Shop Julius Jones?

Or keep a 4-0 team intact?

I would trade OUR NUMBER ONE for Fitzgerald in a heartbeat. Other than that, I think we stand pat and keep the roster intact. If it aint broke, ect.......4-0:D

how about deangelo hall says he wants traded, could always use another good corner.
Then we wouldnt be going after DeAngelo Hall.

Hey Rack, no need to get bent out of shape. Its only fun debate. I think you took my comments the wrong way. My point is he isnt as good as he thinks he is and hes not as overrated as others think. Thats just my take on this, thats all. Its cool to disagree.

Let's dream for a second.

Realistic dream would have Arizona wanting Clevelands' first, or our 1st and a really good player in return.

We give them our 1st, and Crayton. *this is a dream don't shoot me*

We now have our #1 receiver for years to come with Romo - because we're in a dream, Cleveland starts to choke and winds up picking 4th. We get lucky and McFadden falls to us.

Stanback becomes an incredible receiver with size and speed. We wind up with Fitzgerald and TO, Stanback in the slot, McFadden in the backfield, with Witten & the great Romo, and 4 straight super bowl victories.

Okay, wake up now. :)

Rack, dont know if you seen the game against Carolina but if you take away his foolish pentalys he absolutley shut down Steve Smith. 1 catch for 9 yards. He has talent he just needs to get off his high horse and worry about being a football player and not self procliaming himself as the best DB in NFL history. It would be a gamble but, hey, we have an awesome shot at the SuperBowl so why not. I would not do it for a 1st though. A 3rd-4th yes.

first off, he isnt going to be traded...the Falcons already said so

secondly, you are looking at Smith's stats and assumign Hall did a great job, but he was also more of a decoy in the game and the Panthers ran the ball at will...the one time they did throw deep on Hall to Smith, he beat him badly and Hall had to tackle Smith (PI) to prevent an easy TD

finally, you are trying to pick out one game to offset the BOATLOAD of really horrendous games he's played...the guy is a highlight machine for the OPPOSING player...he's also possibly the worst tackling CB I have ever seen

So in ONE game he looks good and you ignore the 20-30 other games where calling him TOAST would have been a compliment?

Chances are the only trade we will see will be minor low salary trades with teams looking to add some depth. Big trades now days do not happen very often especially this far into the season.

If there is a player who can upgrade one of the positions, why not?

Not that it is going to happen, but if you could get Fitzgearld for either of our #1's you would be crazy not to do that.

Take a established #1 who is 23 years old for a crap shoot called the draft any day of the week and twice on Sundays!!!

Getting Fitz for clevelands pick would be a total steal. But right now I would settle for a top CB. Unfortunately I doubt that any are available.

I would certainly take the deal mentioned by Newey of a #1 draft pick for Fitzgerald.

He's more proven than anyone you'll get in the draft and just entering his prime.

And there's no telling what - if anything - Terry Glenn has left at this point.
