Should we be alarmed by Tyron's "not alarming" back?

Not concerned. I believe he's with the team in Canton tonight; while the other injured players are still back in Oxnard.

The Cowboys are just being extra cautious. If this were September, Tyron would be out there.

I'm sure the FO and the staff will be monitoring Tyron closely in whatever action he sees going forward. Right now, they're doing what they can to stifle the fear that some of the fans might be feeling about Tyron's back tightening up lately. I'm glad it's nothing more serious but at the same time, the situation calls for caution in seeing to it that he's kept safely out of harms way. Here's hoping he returns to 100% very soon and stays that way.

I have been wrestling with even putting a thread behind this topic as to avoid offending the football "gods"...but it has been gnawing at me. Both from the perspective of this team's history of flubbing injury-related communications as well as this now being an arguably recurring theme for the best LT in football (in my view).

This issue first cropped up last season of course...I recall some back and forth in this forum when he missed the SF game and a couple of others. And while we never heard anything further about it upon his return, we all know that back ailments can be a tricky thing and hard to isolate the problem.

So someone PLEASE talk me down off of the ledge here. Should we be concerned or is this no big thing and "nothing to be alarmed about" as the FO would have us believe?
Fans need to learn how to deal with the offseason. Take a break, family trips. If you look at Tyron's movements in any TC tape this yr u will see the guy is showing no signs of any back issue. Of course any player can be injured on any play.

Sham said this week that it's precautionary, and that Tyron was very much not worried about it.

That said, back things always make me worry. And back things to OLs whose contracts are tightly intertwined with our cap make me doubly-worried. It's a legit concern.

Any lineman with back issues is a concern.

The longer it lingers, the more concerning it is. If they start talking surgery, then we've got problems. But they are not there yet. Hopefully it won't.

A bulging disc doesn't really mean much. Most all of us have them and have no problems. If he has to manage it he will be fine. Worrying about will change nothing.

Tough to tell. I'm certain they are being very overly cautious. They know what Tyron can do and the alternative is either Cleary or hoping Chaz Green comes back. But, back issues are always tricky.

His issue last year was his neck. This year its his backs. A tight back could be worst case disk issue or it could be he just got twisted up in drills.

Also I seem to remember some on these boards wanted the cowboys to go after Orr
