Should we give Nick Folk another shot?

I want him back - no doubt - hurt me to see him lose game like that. I know Nick Folk is a pro bowl kicker - my biggest fear is he's a Commander on opening day.

The more and more that happens, the less and less likely it seems they are planning on giving him a full shot again.

...because you can't determine what state Folk is in until he has faced whatever demons caused him to lose his mojo.

Put him in the early kicking competition and if he fails release him.

Bring the guy back and give him a shot.

He was a Pro Bowl Kicker we drafted.

If he doesn't have it...OK...but he most definitely should get another shot.

Let's see what he can do with an off season after getting his hip fixed.

According to Mickey Folk was not happy at all about having a 2nd kicker on the roster and that probably effected his mental state.

I don't know how you guys felt, but I would have felt more comfortable against Minny last week with Folk kicking those kicks, then Suisham. Even after going 3 of 10. I had NO confidence in Suis. He lost the game for the Skins against us!

Yes bring him back. But also tell him if he starts his "its the holder" BS one more time Jerry will make sure he never works in this league again.

It sounds like folk is turning out to be a bit too whinny.

first i would like to see a list of kickers who ever came back from the mental funks.....and if that list is as short as i think it is ...then No i dont want him back......he could come into camp and be a kicking ninja....but when game time hits ....yip ...yip.....yip.....

Whats the problem with giving him another shot? If he wins the job, he wins the job.

I would be willing to have him tryout again. Once the kickers loose it mentally, it's pretty much over. Folk had stated that due to the surgery he had in the off season, he was not able to prepare as he normally does. Not being able to follow his normal routine might have influenced his kicking this past year.

It is worth it to give him another chance as we know how good he was the two prior years for us.

what if he wins the job in training camp....then gets in pressure situation and buckles again?.....and we get stuck with suisham again.....thats all i fear....I say bring in some reliable veterans and let them compete.....no shank artists need apply...

That's really bad. Prior to the season, Folk was practically a legend to the Boys fan base. "Money", we called him.

I know how awe-inspiring the Da Beeler is, but to kick in the league you have to be mentally tough. If he was that afraid of a strong legged rookie that didn't even practice place kicks...he's not the guy I thought he was.
