I'll keep saying it until some of you listen.

If you have issues at Safety it doesn't make a lick of sense to take your best Safety and make him a LB and expect that to fix anything.

Dumb idea. Always has been. Always will be.

Is it that you don't think that Roy could be a pass rushing LB?

I wouldn't worry so much about LB... You move Roy to LB along with Bradie James, Carpenter and hopefully Burnett could step in and be a starter and we should be fine

You want to go back to the 4-3, but you have 4 linemen and 4 linebackers ?

Geez. People actually think moving Williams to LB will hide his pass coverage deficiencies? People get a grip! He sucks at pass coverage and moving him to LB were he is to damn small (225lbs) to play in the first place won't fix it!!!!

Look at the Bears. They play a 4-3 defense with (as it notes) 3 LBers. This is a defense where the linebackers don't have to be as big because you have 4 defensive linemen instead of just 3. Two of the Bears linebackers have over 100 tackles. (Brian Urlacher 141tkls 254lbs, Lance Briggs 130tkls 240lbs) Their third linebacker was Hunter Hillenmeyer who was the smallest of them all and he had 48 tkls and is only 238lbs which is still about 10lbs larger than Roy Williams!!!! Is it starting to sink in? Maybe? Well SMASH it into your skulls, Williams won't play LBer. He is to damn small!!!!

Now, lets put an end to this lunacy... :bang2:

not to mention that Roy has lost some of his agility when he went up to 225.. Add anymore and he's going to be a smaller version of Bradie James!

I have to admit that I wasn't a fan of making the switch to the 3-4... And I thought that the Cowboys didn't do as well as they should have... I wasn't too happy that they got rid of Glover for Ferguson either...

Maybe a move to switch back to the 4-3 would be a better fit... We are getting nothing from Spears and Canty at DE and just maybe we should move Ware to DE permantly... Use free agency and bring in the best DT available to help stop the run... Have Spears and Ware at DE...

Also I would move Roy Williams to LB permantly... He has proven over and over that he is not a great fit at Safety... I thought had the Cowboys had gone out and brought in Ty Law that we could have been a super bowl team... So I think the 1st thing this team has to do is draft a Safety and bring in the top Safety available thru free agency... Patrick Watkins is still a option... But we need a guy who has 3-5 years experience... I thought that we should have kept Fujita as well...

I wouldn't worry so much about LB... You move Roy to LB along with Bradie James, Carpenter and hopefully Burnett could step in and be a starter and we should be fine...

I would possibly address bringing in a starting CB and move Henry to Safety which would make the process that much easier... Infact that would be the best move... Just switch Henry, bring in another Safety and a starting CB along with a DT and our D should be fine... The move back to the 4-3 should help our run...
I wish guys like you would get off the Roy to LB stuff. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. He won't go for it. They'll jetison him first.

In all actuality, it doesn't have much to do about SIZE and has everything to do with HOW HE PLAYS. As someone stated earlier... Roy has always been SCHOOLED to play Safety and its quite a big change to go from using your athleticism to get AROUND blockers to having to take on blockers head to head and be able to get rid of them. Sure, Roy can take on a RB or WR and just blow them up when they try to block him... but do you expect him to be able to blow up offensive linemen?
Roy doesn't use his hands against blockers.. he uses his strength to bull over them with his shoulder. THIS WILL NOT WORK IF HE IS PLAYING LBER!

Roy Williams plays like a STRONG safety and doesn't play anything like a LBer.

PLEASE PEOPLE.. do not EVER post another comment about moving Roy to LBer.

Umm. NO! Just get a Real Coach that can get an aggressive creative 3-4 D like the Steelers and Patriots. 3-4 if ran right is better than the 4-3
