Should we have just traded down and drafted Derrick Henry?

There was no reason to trade down. Take Ramsey in the 1st and Henry in the 2nd.

The short term euphoria of drafting Zeke 4th won’t be worth it in the end

That wasn't the argument, the argument was much closer to he's not going to be an impact player at this level since he lacks ball skills. And he went most of his rookie season without an int and got two late in the year. This year he has two as well, but I still doubt his ball skills. So despite his coverage ability, I think when looking at the impact of 1 CB, Aaron Rogers still wins the last two games he played against us.
This is the kind of incredibly stupid reasoning that has the Cowboys where they are.

Hey guys, we have one of the worst defenses in the league. Adding a top 5 CB won’t make it a top defense so let’s keep ignoring the defense .

Henry has power and speed but not much wiggle. I was higher on him coming out of the draft than I am now. I am not saying he won't be a good back but I don't think he will be as good as I initially thought he would be coming out.

No doubt. Only fell in the draft due to that video of him hitting that girl

If anyone doubts the value of Elliott to this team, just look at the "production" we got yesterday against the Falcons as Exhibit "A". We were mostly inept against them running the ball.

We should have acquired an acceptable substitute for Zeke because that's the way we are built to play the game. We need another quality running back and there were several available with very good value in this draft class.

We need to be looking for another one who can keep us in games if Zeke is out due to injury or other reasons. Right now he is one DV accusation for being unavailable for a really long time. He doesn't even have to be guilty of it, obviously.

I'm not all that sold on Henry. He will probably be a good back, but not great. He doesn't have much wiggle or elusiveness.

I see him as a better Brandon Jacobs. Tough N-S guy. Will have a good career but not someone you remember far after they retire. IIRC Titans have the line for him to open up holes instead of him needing to bounce it out.

If we would've drafted Ramsey we all would be discussing why did we pass up on a stud RB that's dominating the league.
