If you only keep two, is Dez our emergency QB?

Dude can toss the ball a long ways.

For me this would be worth the price of admission.

I see Dez at the line, checking off, marshalling the troops. We might have the next Cam Newton on the team and not know it.

Kind of like a Mets game earlier in the season when our back-up catcher had to emergency pitch, he struck out the side, was great.

Last night in warmups, Dez was taking one step and throwing it 55 yards. He's got a gun.

We could at least run some kickass QB draws and Hail Marys.

McGee is a pro bowl/all-pro boss, of course we keep 3!

It would be fair to give him one more year to develop. They use these guys hard in camp. It's a lot to take in.

My answer.

I've pretty much been counting on keeping 2 QBs since Orton signed. There's no need to keep 3 unless you have someone worthy of developing and we don't.

I have a feeling that a 3rd, 4th, 5th and a 6th QB may be needed not to compete in games, but to complete the games.

Seems that way now. But we still have 3 weeks till the start of the season. If intelligent, one of two things will happen.

1) Who we anticipated from the beginning will take their positions. (Hopefully well, under the circumstances....

Or..

We bring in a guy who's big. We need a big guy. Maybe at a loss with technique, but a big guy to fill the hole.

My choice? No.

But this is what wer're looking at now. So let's approach it in that manner.

Anyway, Pre-Season never meant a hill of beans in the past, so it shouldn't now..
