This will be the biggest test our safeties have had. Our dbs can run with anyone but the height advantage megatron has is scary, and I agree on Suh and Fairley.
That said, I think we can roll coverage to Megatron and Bush without getting hurt otherwise or stacking the box. Throw in some well timed pressure and I think you can slow them down.
The key in this game is that our offense MUST get things figured out. If we can find a way to protect Romo against 4 man fronts and get them to blitz, then we have some nice options.
They don't get a lot of sacks but they do bring a lot of pressure...if that pressure is in the middle then Romo will have an uncomfortable existence in Detroit this Sunday. Two teams evenly matched and the turnover differential will be huge. Dallas has a 14 percentage point edge on Total DVOA after 7 weeks [highest this year] but the game is in Detroit so its really a wash. This has the makings of a shoot-out, unless Dallas can continue its defensive mastery of the past two weeks. I do think Johnson will pass the century mark, which does not always guarantee a win, but unless the Cowboys
really clamp down elsewhere, it won't bode well for them overall. The back-to-back road thing should be considered a dress rehearsal for a possible playoff run because Dallas likely won't have but one home game if they win the division. To advance they will have to win back-to-back games against teams more formidable than Detroit.
My personal consternation stems from the fact that Dallas has a near psychotic propensity for offensive conservatism (no pun intended) in road games. That will likely spell doom in Detroit. Ya hear me Garrett?
