Should we worry about Detroit?

They have just has many as weapons as the Eagles if not more and a QB who unlike Foles can put the ball on the money. Add to that a loud stadium and I am very concerned about this game. Of course their defense isn't ranked very high but neither was the skins or eagles and we still struggled at times against those.
Your thoughts?

I feel like we should worry about every team left on the schedule. But there's no one we can't beat if we're on our game. It depends who shows up.

This.

This team is too inconsistent to know what we're going to get. We played well yesterday, but our last two wins were more of what the other teams DIDN'T do than we we DID do. Missed throws and reads all over the place.

They are the next team we face so yes I will be concerned about them. They capable of putting up big games. Unlike some I tend not to take any game for granted and given what took place last time the Cowboys played in Det I would think this team will not take them for granted.

It's a road game! Expect a conservative offense, and playing not to lose. That's the Garrett M.O.

Love the run D we have shown all year really. Love the changes Kiff and RM have made to fit personnel. We will need more than 17 to win this game. Nobody is stopping Megatron like we shut down Garson and Jackson. I think it boils down the the offense this week.

Exactly right. Detroit is a much better defense then what we saw in Philly last week and, Megatron is getting healthy again. They are one of the few teams we've played, thus far, that can actually put offense together with defense. We should be worried about them.

DET is a good team, too. Easily good enough to beat us. This is going to be another game like the SD game where we're playing an established QB who has enough weapons to beat us.

We won't be dealing with the wind, like we were this week, and we should expect our passing offense to give them at least as many problems as theirs can give us. I think we'll show well offensively on turf. If we continue to tackle well, the game will come down, like almost all of them do, anyway, to turnover differential.
This would be a nice game to have Murray/Dunbar back for, though.

I think a healthy dose of respect is what makes a team work harder during the week and focus a bit more at the task ahead of them. Dallas needs to go in to this week with that respect of Det but never fear anyone.

Absolutely, this will be our OL's biggest test to date.

Yes, and yes. We could lose to or beat every team coming up, I think the Detroit game is definitely an a above average match-up vs. the other games left on the schedule.

That last game was at Cowboys Stadium. The last time we played in Detroit Romo led us to that historic comeback with the winning TD pass to Witten in the waning moments. Lots of Cowboys fans in the house too.

Do they still run that Wide-9 stuff there? I can see them spreading the gaps and defense and trying to get Suh matched up 1-on-1 in the interior. That scares me only because Frederick's achilles heel is quickness.

My mistake, does not change anything though. Dallas saw how quick things can turn around and how quick Det can score.

To be frank, I don't expect us to win at Detroit.

It's very difficult for *any* team to win 2 games in a row on the road.

Plus, I hate this matchup. I don't like Megatron on any of our corners or safeties. Bush is a real problem receiving out of the backfield and Pettigrew is a sound TE. Then we have to worry about Suh and Fairley and that's a giant test for Frederick and Leary.

DET is a good team, but, just a side-note...we heard a lot about the PHI defense not being very good, but they played a pretty dang good game against us yesterday. They look like they're getting better, and, I bet by the end of the season, the book on them defensively is pretty different.

Back to the Lions, this one looks like a push game on paper, with the tie going to the home team. We're going to have to put together a full game to beat them. I'm dying to see Carr v. CJ. Johnson will mostly-eat his lunch, I think, but Carr will be there in coverage the whole time. It should be fun to watch, anyway.

Have you seen anything from the Cowboys this season to make you not worry? Every opponent is a concern especially on the road. What makes the Lions a concern is they have one of the most productive passers in the game who's throwing to the best WR in the game. The Lions defense doesn't rank high but neither did the Broncos defense. Detroit can put points on the board and Stafford can light it up he dissected the Cowboys in the 4th quarter 2 years ago in their huge comeback win over the Cowboys.
