Williams boneheaded play at the end of the game effectively killed our chance at winning the game. Then he gets on the radio and in a juvenile move says, essentially, that he doesn't care what anyone has to say about it.

Personally, I don't think as a coach that you let this just slide. Too much of this sort of thing going on to field a winning team. Personally I would demote him to 4th string and make him earn his way back. What say you?

Honestly, I thought he wasn't even playing because he didn't even have a target until well into the second half.

I was in the game thread, and I literally was typing "Is Williams inactive today" and before I could post it they threw a pass in his direction.

Butler I believe is better, and he played well with him on preseason. Give dak the players he's more comfortable with

Normally I think this stuff is an overreaction, but we've got a good player behind Williams in Butler who's got some affiliate with Dak. I'd definitely be considering demoting Terrence, or he'd be losing some snaps as a result of the gaffe this week.

There aren't that many levers a coach can pull when we're getting players in positions to win games and we keep not doing it. The OL penalties, the missed TE blocks. The critical red zone drops. The inability to stop a bad Giants run game late when you need it. These are the things that lose games, and if you're players aren't willing or able to make the plays, at some point you need to sit them.

I'd also make a point of looking at Green at RT this week in practice. That's not a move I make yet, but it's a point I'd be making already after week 1.

How many guys do you want to demote... TWilly for not running out of bounds... Holding call on Collins, Free and his turnstile antics, false start
on Zack Martin, Other WR's dropping balls left and right, OL not blocking for Zeke? We didn't lose because of TWilly. We lost because
we got to the Red Zone 3 times and only got field goals. You have to score touchdowns to win in the NFL. We held the ball for over
30 plays and most of the first half and only got 9 points... Can't win on that.

Nobody is getting demoted after week one...

A demotion is a demotion, and I agree it's way too soon to be panicking. But if you're making a point that concentration lapses that lose games have consequences, I don't think losing snaps or even a demotion is out of order. Not when there's a good player behind you.

At some point, this group of players has to step up and make the plays that are right there to be made. If you're carrying a $10M cap hit, you need to routinely make the circus catches. That's what that money is for. Witten can't be missing blocks. Short receivers need to jump higher. Guys just have to make plays. They're so close, but they're not getting it done.

I can easily see the logic Williams used during the play (as the ball was getting to him i was screaming something like "too short") and completely agree that he should have the "i dont care what the fans say" sentiment. He needed to get out of bounds once the ball was in his hands though and id be good with trying butler as the starter for at least a week.

That would suggest demanding accountability from your players.

There isn't much, if any, of that in Dallas and it contributes to the losing culture and mentality.

No fear.

The players know it's Jerry that's making all these decisions, not Garrett.

Jerry wants to be liked. His personal relationships with players have been a detriment for decades now.
