Show of hands: Who is scared to death of this offensive line?

Well lets just say I'm not jumping to conclussions just yet. Not a week ago half this place was running around like their heads had been cut off thinking we were doing nothing in FA this year.

It's an obvious area of concern, pretty much everybody has noted that at one point or another since the season ended, so I just can't see how we just simply overlooked it. Don't be surprised if something's up the sleeve yet. Maybe we have two guys targeted in the first two rounds who we think we have a great shot at getting, who could come right in here and compete for starting gigs.

I just hope the thought isn't that since our overall firepower on offense has increased that it will take the pressure off the Oline and we'll be alright with a little extra added depth here 'n there.

Anyway I won't start to worry until after the draft. I still think we could see us making a big splash there much like we did on defense last year.

.

Zippy how does the added firepower help our running game?

Until I see this group play togther it is hard to say what or how they will look. 1 thing for certain no one feared the Cowboys line last season. We managed to make some average defensive player look like all pros

I've said it all along I'm not happy with this O'line and quite Frankly if thy struggle I wont be a bit surprised.

STARTERS

Torrin Tucker... Yeah, the Torrin experiment is over. Hoping Rob Petitti will be another Mark Tuinei. TT is a backup at best.

PANIC TIME?

The way I see it, we have three starters who very recently were all solid linemen, but all three are now over 30 and coming off some troubling injuries last year. We have two starters who are "very average." And we really don't have any young depth that look like impact players this season.

If everything works the way Bill & Jerry hope, yeah, we could have a decent o-line. But there are so many IFS on this roster, I wonder if we're heading to disaster this season. Yeah, we could find a gem in the draft, but Parcells' track record on drafting linemen ain't the greatest in Dallas, and it's tough to find a fella that kicks right in like an accomplished vet.

Is it still last year's story? One injury away from a big collapse?

as some have posted here before, I'd love to see Tucker at guard!!!! I think that move could prove very fruitful.

I do see Dallas drafting at least two OL in this draft perhaps at G and Tackle.
I am unsure where but I do believe it will happen and I think you may see a few undrafted FA types for training camp. We need to keep adding and churning looking for not only depth but young talent on the OL.

this oline is no monster, but it's 10 times better than last years. I've heard Flozell and Marco should be back to full strength. And Fabini's is a good player, who has had time to recover. I think we'll have a similar rotation to last year between Gurode and the now bulkier Johnson. The only question mark is Kosier. But honestly I have heard good things about this guy.

Would you put 8 men in the box with TO running around back there?

Its goin to be the down fall of the team again.

I was ok when we had LA, and looking at a tackle in the draft, now we have 4 scrubs and Flo Adams, think about that... Flozell is clearly the best offensive lineman on tha team now.

Supposedly, they couldn't do that last year, but look what happened.

They couldn't?

We were run blitzed to death last year.

Bottom line is that this team will only go as far as the offensive line. If Flo gets hurt again, I guess they would move Fabini over there. I just see a bunch of average guys. I really hope they stay healthy and prove me wrong.

I still think at least 1 high pick (1st or 2nd) and one midrounder (3rd, 4th and 5th) will be selected at any Oline spot. FS will be another high pick too and so will LB. I will bet my eyebrows that that is how the 1st day of the draft falls, barring any huge trades by us...

I can pretty much say that the chances of us using a first on a OL is pretty much ZERO. BP has said that if you do not get your O lineman in the first 10 picks then you can do as well in the 2nd. What he meant was that outside of someone like Ferguson, you do not spend first rd picks on O linemen. I am thinking we maybe use a 2nd on a guard if we are worried, or maybe a 3rd if one drops that far that we like.

I like the Fabini signing. Solid, if nothing else. Not so high on Kosier. Getting Flo back in the fold definitely helps. All things considered, for me, still a number of question marks. And that was prior to Larry Allen moving on.

We can split out Terrell Owens and Marvin Harrison and it won't really matter unless we are able to protect Bledsoe and create running lanes for our runners.

Questioning our offensive front at this point only makes sense, IMO.

There's no way to really know if theyll use that pick on the OL or not. The draft is still forming, even at the top.

I know we all want a stud ILB in the first round but it would sure be nice to finally fix our annual OL woes by going OT in the first and OG in the second.
