I don't know how this affects the field of play but it certainly feeds the media and fan frenzies. I liked the way Parcells did it. And it killed Jerry. Poor Jerry having to walk on egg shells.

Still tempest in a tea pot. Get some players, win games and get into the playoffs and contend. That'll give you respect and shut people up. The feeding frenzy will continue until we starting winning.

As I stated in another thread, the rest of the NFC east is smiling.

I HIGHLY doubt the "rest of the NFC East is smiling" right now. 2 of the other 3 teams in the division got swept by us and were bottom of the barrel teams this year. And things aren't looking too hot for them heading into the offseason. I doubt they're going to be spending their time sitting back and smiling about our situation when they themselves need to do some serious roster reconstruction as well as coaching changes.

And the Eagles are far from dominant themselves. Hell, they barely beat us out for the division crown.

at the end of the day if this makes you feel better so be it, as long as they know Jerry and his learning on the job coach are around, they can expect more of the same results.

I didn't say it makes me feel any better. Not sure how you could conclude that from my post. I was simply pointing out that the other teams in our division most likely aren't sitting around smiling about our situation like you said they were.

The Commanders won 3 games and are head coach-less at the moment. The Giants had a joke of a season, an aging roster and a HC who should probably retire. Our situation is probably the last thing on their minds.

The Eagles are on the rise, the Commanders won the division last year and the Giants have won 2 superbowls in the last 6 years, and if they had such a horrible season at 7-9 what does that say for us at 8-8??

My point is we are stuck in mediocrity with a owner/coach who is in denial and has his hand picked student who is learning on the fly. We have lost the division 3 years and a row. The others have done so,etching recently why we stand stuck in 1st gear with aging stars, so what's not to laugh about?

If anyone wonders for a second why they should jettison Garrett, just look at the "process" that he has built

* Jones can't shut his mouth for a second
* little Stevie comes out and says "we need a better front 7" ....DUH......he obviously is in "training" to be like dear ol' dad
* Ware comes out and says he will take a cut; then recants and says he will restructure
* Hatcher doesn't care where he plays,,,wait, what?
* Witten comes out and says Garrett is safe

the beat goes on and on and on...no one will shut their mouths in this organization...the players follow their idiot savant head coach who, along with the bigger idiot stevie, follows in Jerry Jones' footsteps

And yet all those things listed doesn't address what Garrett has personally done to inhibit the offense with a pass happy attack and not insisting with the owner that the front lines be built to protect the QB and get to the other guy's QB.

Listing only things that fit your agenda ignore what is the core issue after the Jones boys flunk Football 101 every year.
