Sometimes I have to ask myself whether I enjoy a cowboys win more, or a Commanders loss more.

Its not as simple as you may think.

Peter King's weekly predictions. Posted solely for this one...

:D

Skin fans need to look on the bright side. Should this continue they may get the #1 draft choice next season. Could be a good ideal for the skins to lose this game aginst the Texas so that should they tie at the end of the season they could get the #1 overall after all Houston would just waste yet another over all 1st pick.:lmao:

But then, wouldn't Denver get that pick?

I still don't think anyone really knows what went on in that trade. Some people say it would be a straight swap, some say that its based on value. Who knows.

It would be great though if the Skins get a Top 5 pick and have to swap down to the late 20's all for TJ Duckett:laugh2:

I suspect the Skins will take down the Texans. I think Mr. King is just trying to start a fire in the nations capital.

It's really too bad that Plummer is looking equally inept as Brunell.

Otherwise the pick swap would be almost assuredly an enormous difference.

Here's to Jake Plummer getting off the scnhnide.

I found out what it is. The Basic if the Commanders are worse than the Broncos they swap positions so if the Commanders finish with the #1 pick and Denver has the 25th pick bahahahahaha all that for freakin TJ Ducket. This may get funnier by the week.

The Broncos agreed to terms on a three-way deal that will send Lelie to the Atlanta Falcons once the paperwork is completed. The Falcons will send, according to two league sources, running back T.J. Duckett to the Washington Commanders and the Commanders will send a combination of draft picks to the Broncos.
Based on the teams' finish this season, the Broncos, at best, could end up with the Commanders' first- and third-round picks in the 2007 draft if the Commanders finish with a worse record than the Broncos.
In that scenario, the Broncos and Commanders would flip-flop first-round picks, with Denver moving up in the opening round and the Commanders moving down. The Broncos would then get the Commanders' third-round pick as well.
If the Commanders finish with a better record than the Broncos, Denver gets the Commanders' third- and fourth-round picks in April.

Ouch, I think your right. Sorry skins fans no soup for you!!!:lmao2:

Draft picks? The RedStinks don't need no stupid draft picks! They got the great St. Gibbs to turn any bum player into a HOF candidate! (that is, if said player can just learn that damn 2% of the playbook)!!

***? The Commanders gave up a possible 2007 1st round and 3rd round draft choice for Duckett? At ES, they say Gibbs in running the show. I can't believe Gibbs would do something so freakin stupid. This has Synder written all over it.

It also had panic written all over it. And "Portis' injury is way worse than we're telling anyone" written all over it. And "Portis injury is a chronic thing" written all over it.

It also has "Denver bent us over AGAIN" written all over it.

Think about it. Denver traded them Portis for the best corner in the league and a second round draft pick. Now, Portis is injured, so the Skins panic. Atlanta gets Lelie, Washington gets Portis, and Denver gets a thrid, and possibly a big move up in the 2007 draft.

Champ Bailey, 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder, and a possible high draft pick for Portis.

Yeah, that front office hasn't screwed anything up. :lmao2:

Well, if St. Gibbs allowed the Midget to do something that stupid, then he is at fault also! And he's supposed to be a HOF coach? Sure he is....

I just finished having a discussion on ES on this Duckett trade issue.

Apparently, there are circumstances under which Denver and Washington swap first rounders, but it's not automatic, and under no circumstances would Washington be forced to give up a high first round pick.

It's actually a very creative trade. Apparently, the trade stipulates that Washington will give Denver a pick or picks roughly equivelent to "400 draft value points" as defined by the draft value chart. So it's probably a high 3rd rounder or possibly a low third and a low fourth or perhaps even a third and swapping a few places in the first.

I'm not a draft value chart expert, but I think that's the gist of it (according to the "brain trust" over at ES) so take it for what it's worth.

I was disappointed. I had dreams of a 0-16 Redsk*ns having to give the #1 overall pick to Denver.

Did they have actual credible sources or did they make it up?

No sources... it seemed as if it had been a much-discussed topic over there last month when the trade first went down, though. I'm sure they have their version of AdamJT13 over there to get to the bottom of things like this. Plus, I think they even have Redsk*n front-office guys that troll around on the message board.

I'm not saying what I posted is 100% accurate, I'm saying that's the story over there. And honestly, it makes a lot more sense than the idea that they would conceivably give up the #1 overall pick for the #32 overall pick. I have to think even Snyder isn't that stupid.
