Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Tank Johnson had to be restrained after return specialist Rock Cartwright stood on the 50-yard line star at Texas Stadium yesterday as he celebrated Washington's 26-24 victory.

"This is how it is. When you win, you win with class. When you lose, you lose with class," Johnson said. "One of their guys, Cartwright, took it upon himself to celebrate on our star. "It's the fourth game of the season. No one has accomplished anything but a win. That's just disrespectful and I don't think we'd do that to them. And I'm surprised he did that to us."

The Commanders could celebrate however they pleased, Cartwright said. "He was a little frustrated that we won," Cartwright said. "He got mad that I went and stood at the middle of the star. "I went to say hello to everybody, and he got mad that I stood at the middle of the star. It is what it is. I'm past it. I'm not worried about it. I think they're just mad that we came in and got a win today. It's part of the game. You win some, you lose some."

Maybe our guys will play with some passion against them next time and do something about it.

Agreed, if the Star ranks up there with something to gripe about you KNOW there's a problem in that lockerroom...Simplest thing to have done yesterday was to roll up the skins :banghead:

Tank Johnson needs to produce and stop being in the media so much such a waste

I hope that the media completely turns on us and people laugh in our faces, and spits on the star and calls out every player on the team.

If this is what it will take to make this coaching staff and this team play with passion and stop making a ton of mistakes, I'm all for it.

agreed.

bring it on. I am watching espn right now and they just led off nfl live with "one loss and Dallas's locker room is a mess"...!!!!

bring it on. We have always played better, as all modern athletes do when they are told they cant do anything.

I bashed T.O. for the Star incident when it happened (We had a pretty mediocre team at the time too) as a Niner...I brought up the issue again perhaps last season but certainly not to bash him but more than likely to illustrate how far along he had come since that time.

The larger point about this recent example was the 'better' team had their butts handed to them and worrying about the Star seems trivial in retrospect...Beat your opponent and don't worry about someone 'showing you up'...When you're lousy like the team was back when TO did it, it was salt into the wound when they couldn't even muster a fight on the field let alone defending the star.

Apples & oranges.

I'm with you 2000% on this. Call them bums, call them soft, call them overrated. Say we aren't physical and suck at home.

Also say Wade has failed to transform our D into a dominant one and that offensive wunderkind Garrett doesn't have an understanding of the importance of balance on offense.

LOL - a week ago, they were PRAISING TO for being a GREAT teammate, how he's a changed person, etc, etc.

If anything, the least they can do is to give credit to the Commanders for their outstanding play.

Not really you brought it up in a thread called TO sucks where you were bashing him.

Not apples and Oranges at all, you got PO'ed as a fan when it happened (and would be now if this was shown on TV) Now imagine how a player ON THE TEAM feels about it

Don't like it Cowboys? Then do something about it. Take it to them at their place on Nov. 16th.

No way it was last year...There was a time I felt that way but before he became the teammate he has become now.

The earlier points still stand with regard to the Star, etc...If we were some crap team like yesteryear, those kind of antics would inflame a lot more...But as good as the team is to have laid down the way they did, the last thing that should concern them is whether or not a Commander was celebrating on the star

where was teague to hit rock out of the star. where was owens to bash rock. already in the locker room complaining he isnt getting ht eball enough when 1/3 of the plays were to him...
its not that bad as what ur own player did when he was on the niners.... he didnt get a td and run in the middle put his arms up.. rock just happen to walk across the field to shake hands and happened to landed on the star and celebrated there.. ahhh how good it feels to celebrate on americas teams star... and a new child was born on cowboyszone.com :D

I'd think that Tank should be a lot more angry about the piss poor performance by the defense that helped ALLOW them to celebrate on the star.

If you don't like them being able to do that Tank then here's an idea....stop them from scoring 26 points and beating you.
