It seems to me that Roy's left knee is pretty damn close to TO's left ankle. Is that, perchance, the broken bone? Too bad you don't have depth perspection, I need to see another view to really tell.

Anyways, your arguing semantics. My very basic point is TO wasn't out because of some great hit by Roy, it was just an ackward tackle.

Just to add a little insult to injury... WRONG! It was TO's right ankle that was broken, as it was bent under him. Just FYI.

It tells me that his computer is logged onto the CBZ inside his house and he's outside the house shooting at folks stealing his ATVs--so he has a very good excuse for not commenting right now. Wait until after he caps a few. He'll show you, buddy! Bank on it!

If Springs go down as usual do you really like the lineup of Rogers, Smoot, and Macklin? Come on man honestly?

Do you honestly think Carter is going to get 13 sacks?

he would fit in fine at Rockys spot seeing as Rocky has proven nothing and Ellis proved he can get about 6-8 sacks a year

Definately take over for Daniels

he is aboout on par with Carter

That would be your mistake

agreed

With the exception that TO has been all pro and proven he can be great, Rogers has shown nothing like that. So sorry that doesnt fly

Archuletta was a stud to remember? As of right now Hamlin > Landry may not remain that way but right now its the truth and any objective skins fan is not gonna say different

blah blah Tim Couch was picked #1 Brady round 6

Spencer was pick 26 how can I take you serious when you get such an easy detail wrong?

Also Spencer was dubbed the best pass rusher in the draft for a tweener and was talked about as just behind Gaines adams as a passrusher

actually I posted links to 3 games where TO caught a total of 4 TDs

considering he only played Springs 7 times thats pretty good right there

we should keep a counter on how many threads Firehawk comes into and says something stupid, argues every little detail until proven wrong and then just disappears like the thread never existed.

We'd be up to what? about a dozen now?

That's what he does! That is a "hit-and-run" tactic that trolls like him use...

That's why they should ax his bad self!! :laugh2:

This is the great bigdfan reply that I'm supposedly ducking??? Right dude. I was wondering what the hell this was still doing up. Oh well... Let's begin...

I don't like just about anyone's secondary when the starting corner goes down. For the record, since in Washington, excepting last year, Springs missed 2 games outta 32. That's about 94% of the games he wasn't out to injury. So assuming Springs is going to go down with injury is a bit of a reach.

Anyways, answering the question you asked, I like the lineup of Rogers, Smoot and Macklin considerably better then Henry, Glenn and Jones/Reeves/Brown/Ball.

I said IF, IF, IF. As in hypothetical. But considering the other players, Golston, Griffin are probably going to have much better years then they did in 06, I don't think Carter has to get 13 sacks. Golston is in his second year and usually that means a year more comfortable with the system. Griffin finally got to workout this offseason, which he didn't last year, so you can expect a little more production from him. Daniels is, eh, Daniels. I think 2 or 3 sacks from Golston and the same from Griffin with Daniels 3-4 isn't completely unreasonable.

I don't think we'd put him in Rocky's spot, because Rocky is expected to do a lot more then just rush the passer. He's supposed to be in coverage a lot too. I grant you that Ellis is a more established player, but that doesn't mean he can do what GW seems to want his WLB to do this year.

Yeah, he'd def take over for Daniels, no argument there.

Not on par with Carter though. There's a lot of optimism around Skins Park about carter doing well this year.

I'm not sure what your referring to here and I'm too lazy to find out. If you think I'm dodging a big part of your argument, restate it and I'll respond.

So only all-pros can drop balls because of hand injuries??? TO has always had hands issues BTW.

Archuleta got by on an inflated reputation which I am sorry to say I bought into. But using that logic, you can say James Thrash > Calvin Johnson. One has proven he can, on a limited scale, get it done at the NFL level. Johnson has caught 0 balls for 0 yards.

Oh yeah, that's the norm right there (Brady). So, how about this idea, if you are expounding that argument. Why don't the Cowboys trade all their picks for rounds 5 / 6 / 7 and completely sweep those rounds because BigDFan puts no stock into scouting reports... Good idea dude, revolutionize the business right there.

Actually I really wanted a responce to where you said Springs always plays TO well, and I posted that Springs has given up *at least* 4 TDs to TO in the 7 games they played each other

I don't like just about anyone's secondary when the starting corner goes down. For the record, since in Washington, excepting last year, Springs missed 2 games outta 32. That's about 94% of the games he wasn't out to injury. So assuming Springs is going to go down with injury is a bit of a reach.
except last year? If you are going to use only his time in washington last year counts. Springs is a injury risk and another year older.

Anyways, answering the question you asked, I like the lineup of Rogers, Smoot and Macklin considerably better then Henry, Glenn and Jones/Reeves/Brown/Ball.

You would

Henry >= Rogers

Glenn > Smoot

Macklin > rooks

I think you may be hoping for to much from the old guys.

I don't think we'd put him in Rocky's spot, because Rocky is expected to do a lot more then just rush the passer. He's supposed to be in coverage a lot too. I grant you that Ellis is a more established player, but that doesn't mean he can do what GW seems to want his WLB to do this year.

From what skins fans say on ES GW wants a pass rusher at LB

Not on par with Carter though. There's a lot of optimism around Skins Park about carter doing well this year.

Theirs optimism about Romo and other Cowboys players and yet you are trying to shoot it all down, you cant tell cowboys fans not to be optimistic and then use optimism as an argument

So only all-pros can drop balls because of hand injuries??? TO has always had hands issues BTW.

You were saying Rogers hand being better means he will play better, but he has NEVER played real good therefore his hand being healed doesnt mean he will be better than he ever was before the hand injury

TO was an all pro it is reasonable to expect him to play as well as he has iin the past, not reasonable to expect someone to be better than they ever showed the were capable of simply because their hand healed

Archuleta got by on an inflated reputation which I am sorry to say I bought into. But using that logic, you can say James Thrash > Calvin Johnson. One has proven he can, on a limited scale, get it done at the NFL level. Johnson has caught 0 balls for 0 yards.

Again the rookie has potential to be better but you can not say a guy who never played is better than a guy who has started for years

Oh yeah, that's the norm right there (Brady). So, how about this idea, if you are expounding that argument. Why don't the Cowboys trade all their picks for rounds 5 / 6 / 7 and completely sweep those rounds because BigDFan puts no stock into scouting reports... Finding good players in the later rounds is the norm for most teams Commanders excluded, again they are drafted based on potential but it matters not when they put on the pads, Who you rather have Dan marino or Tim couch?
