An obvious attempt at damage control for a terribly unfortunate situation. But they can say what they want, teams aren't buying a return that quickly.
Does this change anything for you? For other teams?
No can do. Jerry Jones said the players in the first two rounds have to play now.Achilles is the worst thing you can tear for a CB. Ask Kevin Smith.
That said, I would consider him at #60 as he would have gone in the top 30 in this already loaded DB draft.
"They" can say whatever they want, but what a doctor says is different....if a trusted doctor is saying he can recover that quickly why would you doubt it? I admit that September does sound a bit optimistic, but I'm not a doctor to argue either...

He'll get picked by a team with multiple 2nd day picks.
I'm guessing he'll be a Brown. They have nothing to play for next year anyways.
I can definitely see that. They have the draft am,o, and the ability to grab a top talent knowing they'll "redshirt" him.
Heck, I might do it in round 3 if I got another corner in round 2 were he still available there.
I see his doctor saying it. That's one reason I doubt it. The other is the previous history concerning this injury.
I would take him in round 3.
Im fine drafting for value in round 3 with injured players but I hate the 2nd round approach of taking injured players.
Maliek Collins did it just last year. I'm not saying his injury will turn out like that, but I'm not going to just assume because a rookie didn't practice in training camp that they should be wrote off for the year.If a Rookie can't be ready by training camp, then it is not very smart to expect him to contribute in any meaningful way during the season. Once you are into the season, you don't have time to teach rookies what they need to know. You don't have time to give them reps so it's very, very difficult to get them ready to be able to participate in things like game plans when you already have to know what your schemes dictate in any given situation. You can take a guy but it's foolish to exect a guy to play if he misses camp.

Whoa whoa whoa.I hate the way this board assumes all injuries are the same.
My post was in general about players who miss training camp due to injuries and immediately writing them off. Not comparing Collins to Jones.Whoa whoa whoa.
Hold on a second here.
You are saying a broken bone in the foot that is stabilized with a screw like Maliek Collins had is not the same as a torn Achilles'?
