They drafted a really good prospect then decided not to use him so they cut him. He went on to do pretty well for wash.

OK so this is probably the 12th season. If I could ask this franchise to do one thing and one thing, only, it would be to sign, the best possible defensive tackle out there.
No, it’s not a position of Flash . We all know how much Jerry loves, flash.
or is it, Stephen who’s making the decisions?
Anyways, the last time I got my wish was , Zach, Martin.
You'll get many dumb whining responses but keep in mind the majority fan opinion in the off-season is almost always wrong.

It would be great to have the #1 DT (Payne if Commodes don't franchise) but there are other less expensive options that would be huge upgrades over Gallimore.

They likely had to makes promises to Dan Quinn in order to get him to stay. He'll likely demand either a DT or CB in free agency and the other early in the draft.

Payne would be a stud for sure. However, he doesn't play wide receiver or running back. Ain't going to happen.

A) we only pay money to our players
B) DT is not something the clown show cares about
C) which ever DT they do draft (if any) will be all about quickness and pass rush and so on and NOT about stuffing the middle
D) Dumpster diving at best is all you can expect
A. This Drive Merch and Jersey sales to yes only our players
B. does not equate to flashy plays so lessens Jersey sales
C. this Drives Jersey sales if we have a DT that can rush the passer
D. True but again this does not hurt or drive Jersey sales so its the best option in their mind.

It could be different this year. I trust Quinn and McClay.

Jerry iss a lot of things, many not good, but this isn't really a fair statement anymore, and hasn't been for quite awhile.

There was a time he chased after guys like TO, Pacman, Roy Williams (WR) etc ... but he hasn't really pursued many high profile free agents or trade targets for a long time. He mostly relies on the draft, and even then he is as likely to draft an O-Lineman as any other position. OBJ is really the exception at this point, and Jerry still hasn't signed him.

I suspect you tell yourself this every single offseason.

That this year could be different. And then it turns out it's not. I am not sure why you would trust McClay when it comes to the DT spot. He's been involved in building the DL through cheap bargain bin signings and mid to late round picks.

The only way we invest more in the DT position is if Jerry/Stephen finally decide they can't keep half assing it at DT.

LOL.

Yep. Or maybe they find another "Watkins" bargain barrel guy like Watkins was and Carlos is let walk in FA.

All you need to know is that in today's NFL, they value TBs more than DTs. That's nuts.
I don’t think it’s much of a secret that they value long time Cowboys that your casual fan knows the name of over trench guys that win games.

Why else in the world would the owner of the damn team, or the GM for that matter…CARE about which number CD Lamb wears? It’s truly embarrassing.

It’s one of the things that must be overcome to win here, but I’m not sure is possible to do.

I’m almost done being mad. I’ll be going with this by March 15 or so.

I’m not happy how this organization is run by a long shot, but what am I supposed to do? Not hope that best case scenario happens?

If Charlie told Lucy he isn’t falling for it this time, he may feel a certain satisfaction, but he still doesn’t get to kick the ball.

The NFC is wide open, and I’m not at all asking for a Rams situation, but this is arguably the most opportune time to get into the SB with a key addition or two that they haven’t made in recent past off-seasons.

Let’s see how they handle it.

I think they have a decent shot. They will sign a receiver and a dtackle.

They are in good shape to sign players that they need and they draft well.

It may not be so much that they don’t value the position (used a 2nd and 3 3rds recently), but more about admitting that they pretty much whiffed on all of those. OO looks ok in rotation.

Golston seems like todays version of Tyrone Crawford….stinks at several positions so he is considered valuable lol.

They’ve tried….and failed. Again, and again.
