Sign Drew Brees at 12:01

he wasn't signed as of a few hours ago.. not even when he withdrew his demand for a long term deal and offered to come back with a 1 yr contract.. looks SD is putting their hopes on Rivers,, LT said as much the other night on NFL Total Access.

Dr Andrews released a statement that said even though more damage was done than orginally released, he was 4 weeks ahead of schedule in his rehab and that he is expected to make a complete and full recovery. I am not knocking Bledsoe,, he had a good year,, but I would like to see a young QB that has proven he can win in this league. AFC West is one of if not the toughest Division in football and he has proven he can win there. IF given the chance, I would rope him in and let him and Bledsoe shoot it out for starter.

Drew Brees isnt much better that Bledsoe, if at all

He just wasnt getting sacked every other play

Bledsoe isn't either one of them either.. and he is getting old. Never hurts to prepare for unthinkable and the immortal Bledsoe go down,, or retire.

Brees could NO way take the pounding the way Bledsoe did. Unless we really upgrade the line BIG time, Brees would not make it through the season.

WE havent had a good young qb since Aikman- if his shoulder is fine I would be all for signing him-

Bledsoe throws the ball very accurately when given tons of time- when he is pressured/ holds the ball for 6 seconds than his weakness is exposed- his lack of mobility and his desire to wait till the last second to throw the ball

despite two good years statistically, I still have questions about him...apparently so does the team he plays for, else they'd have never let him hit free agency in the first place...dont give me the "well they owe Rivers all this money" garbage either...they have alot of cap room

he never had a strong arm to begin with, and now is coming off major shoulder surgery...also, Brees was good for a number of clunker games even in the past two seasons

the only thing Brees really has on Bledsoe is age (younger), but that might not mean alot if Brees cant throw a 10 yr out

bottom line is it'd be a HUGE risk to invest a bunch of money in him...let someone else take that kind of gamble
