Lmao! That guy can't even get a leg on Aaron Rodgers. Not too mention Packers fans even see him as a complete joke. No thanks about a zillion times, I'll pass.

I'm not by any measure sold on Romo, he's still got mounds to prove, but seriously he deserves better competition then that. Of which I would be all for, just not in the form of midget nobody.

Even though he didn't pan out, I think we made a mistake with Romo when we drafted and traded Brady Quinn. And Brady Quinn replaceable with virtually any draft years' top QB prospect at the time of their draft, and that being unpredictable to know what they'll become. I just think ala. Steve Walsh, someone to make you "look over your back-shoulders" is a good thing, and especially in those early years. Quinn was ours and he could have been that. And just like Walsh standing behind Aikman, it didn't matter the career result of the "other guy", and wouldn't have mattered with Quinn's failure either I don't think. Even though it took a few years, I think Romo came by, and then was able to keep, his job, a little too easily. We literally did put all our eggs in one basket- and then were just foolish enough to let him know it too.

Yeah we definitely didn't draft Brady Quinn, and I hate to sound blunt but what the heck are you talking about?

I think he is saying that we should have drafted Quinn and if we had wasted a 1st round pick Tony Romo would be good? The end I can't make any sense out of whatsoever. I think he is saying we should not have designated a starting QB, because we don't want the QB to know that he would be our future QB? I don't even know. I bet you are a nice guy, but can you elaborate? Please? ;)

Is he a top 5 guy? Not yet, not in my book anyway. Is he WAY above average? Absolutely. I'll take him over most in the NFL

Wrong....

But Jimmy Clausen is a stud though.

First of all, I'm happy with Tony Romo as our starter. Is he perfect? No. Is he a top 5 guy? Not yet, not in my book anyway. Is he WAY above average? Absolutely. I'll take him over most in the NFL today.

Second. Our next QB doesn't need to come off a practice squad, and doesn't need to be undrafted either. For every guy you hit on like that, there will be hundreds of failures. We just got lucky with Romo, period.

I can't help it, I'm a pedigree guy at the QB position. Some guys I like coming out soon. In no particular order.

Sam Bradford
Colt McCoy - not as high on him
Jake Locker - my favorite. I really, really like this guy's abilities
Jimmy Clausen - has definitely taken his game to a new level this year

2 Seasons ago before December of 2007 Romo looked like he was a top 3 QB. Since Sparano (I know he wasn't the QB coach, but he did influence the entire offense) and David Lee left, he has not continually progressed.

Not saying he is not hungry anymore either, but he's also not that bright eyed, star gazed, seize the moment QB he started out as being. Shannahan used to tell John Elway during the Superbowl years he was better than Joe Montana.

Elways physical skills were better than Joe's but his mental skills weren't and that's why a championship eluded Elway, until those 2 years. Shanny found a way to mentally get Elway to where he needed to be and he used Montana's legacy to do so.

None of these pecker heads we have as coaches can reach Romo like that. I hear about Holmgren managing Favre. Yes, he did a great job. But Shanny worked with Montana and Elway and I'll take either of them over Favre in a heart beat.

That's a total of 6 championships worth of moxie there. John Gruden's a young fiery guy still, but he is not Shanny. There is only 1 coach who has been more successful than Shanny the past 12 years and he operates the New England team.

he hasnt even taken an nfl snap and you guys are ready to crown him? If he was any good he would have gone in after Favre put the beat down last night lol.

Groom? Groom Rudy Carpenter. He showed some good mobility and skill in preseason.

Romo will play well vs. KC and you guys will love him again next week. And next week he will be the red headed genius again and you will love Wade again.....

Honestly, I wish Jerry could do 1 perfect thing before he croaks and its not build the starship.

BRING BACK JIMMY!!!!!!

I thought it could never happen, but recent reports spot Jerry and Jimmy at dinner and Jimmy making appearences at Valley Ranch to offer insight to Romo and such. He wants to be there. Make it happen, do the right thing.
