1978 23' Robalo. Damn thing blew two engines and lost a lower unit seal. Worst luck ever with that boat. Stranded me on December 23rd in Canyon Lake. Had to use the teak seat covers to paddle that monster in. The June before it did the same in the Port A ship channel on an outgoing tide with the waves rolling over the jetties.

Not a fun day, that one. You couldn't see the Pilot Boat going through the mouth of the jetties, my electrical shorted out from the water coming over the stern, and I was pretty much sure I was going to break at least a leg or arm climbing out of her and getting to the jetties. No way was I going to ride her through the mouth and out into the GOM. Coasties saved my ***.

My current car. 2008 Land Rover LR3, but only because of the poor gas mileage. After that it has to be my 2006 Mercedes CLK350. It was fun to drive, but quality wise it was a piece of crap. There was ALWAYS something wrong with it.

I haven't regretted any. I've only owned two cars - a 2003 Honda Accord and a 2007 Infiniti G35. Both were excellent and I think I'm staying with Infiniti for the long haul.

That's interesting....I've found most Mercedes to be pieces of crap. The fit in finish of many of their models is WAY below what I had expected....not even close to that of Audi, BMW, and Lexus IMO. Maybe I've just been in the wrong ones...

I don't recall having bought a vehicle that I regret....

Honestly, I have an Infiniti, and the fit and finish of Lexus is head and shoulders above everything else, in my opinion. I have a friend with an IS350 and the interior of that car as incredible.

I had a Fiat Bertone for a very short time, maybe 4-5 months, about 20-ish years ago. It ran for a week at the very most. It was a total money pit.

I hope motorcycles count. I had a paper route as a teen. We did them on dirt bikes. I got offered a Suzuki 125 dirt bike for $400. One of my customers was worried about me on motorcycles and offered instead to sell me a little car they had. I chose the dirt bike over the car.

The car I turned down was a 1956 Kharman Ghia convertible. Way more valuable than the stupid dirt bike.

On top of this I totaled the dirt bike about a month after I bought it.

Probably the one I have now, which is a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500. I paid $2500 for it, and it is a nice truck, never been wrecked, new paint, etc.

About 3 months after I bought it the water pump went out, then last summer the automatic transmission (Dodge transmissions are notorious for failing) went out, and that cost me about $2,000.00 to have rebuilt. The truck runs fine now, and I still like it despite the horrible gas mileage, but if the transmission goes out again (after warranty expires), I will probably just part the truck out.

Mama Sue picked up 97 Dodge 1500 for $2000.00 and I whined and cried about Paint peeling,cracked windshield,cracked dashboard,driver side seat wore to the foam. Left the thing sit for a couple of years then Mama Sue waited until I got the Suburban paid for before Christmas, then promptly rolled it until totaled out. Now the truck is all we have and we get 19.74 mi.per gal.(better than the chevy) doesn't use oil, the heater works good.
Anyway the Sub was the one I really regret buying, couldn't trade it in ,couldn't sell it so was stuck with it,only had libility on it,so didn't get any insurance.
