Silver lining

Who am I kidding. There is no silver lining. It’s been a long time, if ever, that I’ve seen such a horrible defense. I know it’s just not the coaching but some of the players as well, but some decent coaching would eliminate some of those mistakes.

Once the offense lost Cee Dee and the fumble they went downhill fast. Couldn’t take advantage of a solid running game because they were so far behind.

Never giving up even during this dark time.

Go Cowboys.
Right now, we have the worst corners in the league. Booth and Elam are practice squad off the street type of players. Wilson is an absolute disaster at safety as well. Will be interesting what they do at the trade deadline. KC and the Giants game just made things worst for me. This defense makes any QB look good. We are damn lucky not to be 0-3. I don't expect the defense to be better next week either. I see a Sunday Night Massacre with this happless defense. Just calling it like I feel.

Yeah and they will use it on a LT to fix the mistake they made in Guyton.
Explain first how this is overcome:

The pass rush has been without Parsons, but the defense is also without DaRon Bland and DeMarvion Overshown, while Trevon Diggs is playing banged up and struggling mightily as a result.

Those aren't blow it offs...

Ah the old injury excuse.

Chicago was missing multiple players yesterday.

Didnt seem to affect them.

Also, dont bring up Parsons. The "defense will be better without him" crowd should be taking their ball and going home right now.

I don’t know if it was a mistake. Lots of players need to develop. But if we got a really good LT I’d just move him to RT and move on from Steele who’s expensive and not goid himself

:hammer:

They aren't making the playoffs.

Just accept that reality now. This roster isn't good enough, especially if they start taking on injurie, and their coaching staff is mediocre. Jerry applied his bargain hunting FA ways in hiring a new staff and it shows.
If worked so well with the roster it should work equally well with the coaching staff

Right now it isn't. But that isn't what the trade was all about.

I agree with both of you.
that said Big Dog-- @phildadon86 is absolutely correct.
there were more than a few on this board trying to justify this deal under the guise that this would actually make this defense, and this team, better. Basically an "addition by subtraction" type of rationale

I think it was likely the same suspects who usually put a rose colored pair of glasses on every dumpster fire of a personnel move that this franchise makes.....
