I remember hearing last year that this season will be the year they make the switch from aquacrap to silver pants w/ the home jerseys.

Anyone have any info?

Hmmm. That would be interesting. If so, I wonder if they will match the helmet. That would make sense.

Quotes from the link above

"When fans go to our home games in person the No. 1 grief we hear about is the green pants," says Cowboys vice president of merchandising Bill Priakos. "Now we're hearing it from fans watching on TV because of HD. It's too realistic."

"Nothing's set in stone," Priakos says. "But we want the pants to look silver, to be consistent to every fan no matter if they're at the game or watching on TV, whether we're home or on the road. Of course, we'll never change the home white jerseys or the helmets, but we're experimenting with some different shades in the pants."

Throwbacks as our Home uniform would be awesome. i LOVE those uniforms.

You can't. Those are a bright silver designed especially to make the navy blue jersey look blue. Any other darker or lighter shade will make those jerseys look black.

the point is, the pant colors need to be set so that (a) they look silver, and (b) they make the WHITE home jersey look faded and ROYAL BLUE letters brighter.

What's ultimatley going to drive this decision is a color combination that maintains the effct/classic look of those home jerseys. Those bright silver pants won't do that for the while jerseys like they do for the navy blue ones.

I don't mind the alternate jersey that Jerry is so proud of, and it's more common near navy blue shade. But, the best Cowboys away uniforms ever were the Tony Hill picture unis, and they need to return to those unis and wear that electric midnight blue shade at least once or twice per year. They should even throw in a blue jersey game for one home game/year.

This. That blue was awesome.

Aren't the throwback pants white?

I'm not talking about pants.... I'm talking going back to the old school uniforms.

We wear these at home.

WHAT! White helmets, white and blue jerseys -- can it get any more boring that that. :bang2:

The silver is what makes our uniforms. Plus those different color shoulder designs were hated so much by Bills fans they changed their uniforms this year. I think the only other team to wear it is Tennessee and those are awful too.

How about the double star as the new throwbacks?

I will say I would like to see us wear our blues at home. I know people won't like that but I love the 80's blues with the number on the pants. Nothing gets the natives riled up more than the uniforms though. Guilty as charged.

Please let this be true.

bbgun and I have talked about this for awhile now, and he is under the impression that nothing will be done about it, at least this season. So get ready for more sea-foam green and silver pants this season. :(

I dont care what color they look in HD, they can be purple. Im just happy there is football at all, and I have cable haha, SCORE

I noticed this training camp photo on their Facebook page. Unless they're planning to debut new pants in Week 1 vs the Jets, brace yourself for more green. http://img168.*************/img168/5295/1060v1ejpg.gif

Love the throwbacks, but only on occasion.
Agree, they're nice but only on occasion. Just speaking to the helmet alone, I would not be happy for the discontinuing of the silver helmet and it's Star.

I hope we can wear the road Blues again. Missed em last season. I think the road Blues are beautiful.
