Pass rush is important like the passing game is important but running the ball and stopping the run is what wins football games consistently.

You are living in the 90s. This is a passing league. I've already gave you facts to support my premise but you chose to ignore it. So I'll give them to you again. Being able to pass and stop the pass is more important than being able to run and stop the run. Running has taken a backseat due to the rules being slanted in favor of offenses throwing the ball.

Washington leads the league in rushing. But they suck. So rushing obviously doesn't win games consistently like you say.

Denver leads the league in passing. And they're really good. They win games consistently bc they can pass. Not because they can run.

Seattle
Sam Fran
New Orleans
All 3 are in top 5 for pass defense. It's not a coincidence. If you can pass and stop the pass, your going to be successful.

It's so obvious. You are in the vast minority with your opinion. And the points that I have shown prove you to be flat out wrong. But you are too hard headed to admit it. We've had this debate before and you lost. Why are we doing this again? I value my time so please dont waste it with this nonsense. Nobody agrees with you. That should tell you something

People want to call it a passing league, but the reality is that isn't working out for us.

We're 31st in the league in rushing attempts, and while he is healthy Murray is 4th in the league in rushing yards per attempt... #1 among running backs...

Some people just don't get it I guess. The last time Dallas won a Superbowl they had one of the best running games in football. They have won nothing since and mark my words, will win nothing until they make it more than just an afterthought. I have said this before. Romo is about as good as he will ever be but they need more wiggle and wrinkle in the offense. Chuck-ball ain't the answer in Dallas. You would think 1 playoff win after nearly 8 years with Romo under center would get the message across. Facepalm!

I think some people are jaded by Madden. It's so obvious that running the ball and stopping the run is paramount for successful football. I don't get the ignorance.

It is also obvious that you ignore the very evidence around you. The Giants have won 2 Superbowls on the back of a powerful running game and vicious front four. Instead of the New England Patriots, the Cowboys need to be modeling themselves on what has got it done in the NFC East since 2007. The only team in your top 3 that hasn't taken a shellacking this year is Seattle, who have tall, physical cornerbacks. New Orleans' thrashing at the hands of Seattle should make it clear that a potent running game travels well, and when it does not, you get your fanny handed to you.

All I can say is keep dreaming of Superbowls with seasonal rushing averages of 1300 yds. It's always gonna turn into a nightmare for the Cowboys. Book it, bank it and believe it!

The giants were balanced. That's the best way to play. Eli did win 2 Super Bowl MVPs. So he had a big part in it. It's a qb driven league. Not a rb driven league. You gotta have a qb to be successful. Look at the Vikings, they have the best rb. But can't win bc they can't pass. Look at the packers, a top ten team with Rodgers. Without Rodgers, a bottom ten team. This is a passing league. I will agree that the best way to win games IMO is to run it and play a ball control style offense. But nowadays teams want to play up tempo and pass pass pass.

It's no coincidence that all these passing records are falling the past couple years. Teams are passing a lot more and qb's stats are inflated that why the records are falling. It's obvious.

Yeah okay. Teams are passing way more because it doesn't correlate to winning. That makes sense.

Teams do what works. And for most of them right now, that is passing. That's why all these passing records are falling. You tellin me Peyton manning doesn't correlate to winning?

You're not going to change your opinion no matter how much I disprove it. I get it.

You haven't disproved anything. Romo's already broke many Cowboy passing records and will end up breaking many more. What has that done for us?

Maybe...just maybe...BOTH running and passing are important to overall team success. Just a weird thought, I know.

We can't stop the pass. Being able to stop the pass is as important as being able to pass. Give us a top 5 pass defense like Seattle San Fran and New Orleans, and we would look much better.

& I at least gave you a few facts to back up my claims.

The Leading rushing team in the NFL sucks.
The leading passing team is very good.
Thus backing up my claim that this is a passing league.

Seattle San Fran N.O.
All top 5 pass defenses.
Backs up my claim that being able to pass and stop the pass is a recipe for success. More so than running and stopping the run.

I miss the days where running the ball was key. I still think its the best way to win games. Especially on the road. But teams now want to play up tempo and pass pass pass. Just the way it is.

You're proving my point. Seattle and San Fran are ranked 3rd and 7th in rushing offense in the NFL.

Way to ignore everything else I said.
More importantly, all top 5 in pass defense. If they couldn't pass the ball and stop the pass, they wouldn't be any good. Stats get skewed bc they run out the clock when they have a lead.
Rams lead the league in rushing since week 8. Are they any good? No. Because they can't throw.

The NFL is a passing league. The stats prove it. The money paid to quarterbacks, receivers, pass rushers and cornerbacks prove it.

In week 1, qb's threw for the most yardage in league history for 1 week. Also, in week 1, the most receiving touchdowns in league history for 1 week. Coincidence? I think not.

The reason is bc of the rules and matchups. OCs have gotten better at utilizing big TE's and little scat backs.

Get a clue. This is a passing league now.

I get it. Nothing will sway your opinion. Even clear logic. Bc your not man/woman enough to admit you are wrong. But you're wasting my time now.

Lol typical move from someone getting owned in a football debate/can't backup what you say with facts so you stoop to name calling; how childish of you. I gave you facts to support my claim. You got nothing.

You lack football intelligence. I'm not wasting my time teaching you the game of football today. Nor will I entertain your stupidity.

Thanks for those facts as they helped prove my point.
