Since MM took over would another coach have gotten this team to the NFC championship game by now?

I really wonder where the boys would be if/when they finally fired JG, if Jerry hired another coach and not another yes man would a different head coach have had the same results or at least taken this team to the conference title game. After disappointing season after season and you see the number of “pro bowlers” this team has had if a different coach with all this talent would have better success.

With Dak remaining as the starting QB? Nope, not a chance. No coach is going to be able to do anything with him
So if Jimmy was hired back 3 years ago, not even the NFC championship game

McCarthy has had to deal with a lot, and he's done a fine job all things considered. It has to be challenging to turn around a team after the GM has steered it in the ditch.

It doesn't matter if we beat SF this last game. What is important is that the cowboys get a playoff spot, and beat sf if they play them then.

It is a long season, they can figure it out

ok, has any coach taken us to CG in 28 years? including Parcells who after 4 years, gave up and left because he couldn't deal with Jones.

No, because Jerry Jones is the owner.

Jerry always say he'd give his left nu...I mean arm for a Championship. I'd settle for a real coach instead.

I mean the problem here is clear, it's not 100% on coaching it's a front office issue. I think Mike if given any real freedom would have taken us to at least nfc championship with this "sometimes" good defense. It's just that he can't pick players or make any other critical desicion.
