Since MM took over would another coach have gotten this team to the NFC championship game by now?

How is any coach going to overcome the owner, his son, and the toxic culture which is the root of the problem, and lead this team to a Championship?

You could have Shanahan who just embarrassed us along with the best DC in the game and Jerruh would screw the whole thing up

Elite head coaches aren't coming here. None of them are going to be willing to put up with Jerry. Just look at how Jerry still treats the one guy who gave him the only success he's had.

It doesn't matter if we beat SF this last game. What is important is that the cowboys get a playoff spot, and beat sf if they play them then.

It is a long season, they can figure it out
Well keep thinking you’re going to make the playoffs…

This team although they play well against the Eagles is not going to beat them. Heck they’ll have their hands full with the Commanders.

That coupled with games against the lions, Dolphins and Bills.

You really believe this team can make the post season and then go on to beat the 49ers?

Sundays beat down was a message and the Niners could have run up the score on National tv.

The Niners are the best in the NFL

The Cowboys are and will always be pretenders.

They are the best right now

There is still 12 games for the cowboys to get everything worked out, + who knows how injuries for all teams will be by the end of the season, and the 49ers could lose in the playoffs and not have to face the cowboys

As long as Jerry Jones is running the team it isn’t going to matter who the head coach is. It doesn’t matter who the head coach is nothing ever changes.

The last 6 Cowboys head coaches have won a grand total of 4 playoff games, none of which were divisional round games.

This is a culture issue. Untill things change at the top, you can not expect things to change anywhere else. The Jonses are comfortable with how things are, good but not great and they can print money as things sit. So incentive to change it. Their goal is to keep hope alive so we keep paying attention, watching games, spending money etc.

It takes the right players AND the right coaches AND the right front office.

We've changed players, coaches and everything in between EXCEPT the front office.

So I vote no ... Changing just the HC would not solve the Cowboys problems.

I laugh every time when fans say if we had this head coach or that head coach, we would win a championship. Lol Everyone was screaming for Sean Payton and he’s currently 1-4 with Denver. Everything starts and ends with Jerry, so the HC isn’t going to matter. Just look at the past two plus decades. If he refuses to change, the HC changes aren’t going to matter. Everyone from the fans, to the media, to the players knows who runs the team.

I really wonder where the boys would be if/when they finally fired JG, if Jerry hired another coach and not another yes man would a different head coach have had the same results or at least taken this team to the conference title game. After disappointing season after season and you see the number of “pro bowlers” this team has had if a different coach with all this talent would have better success.
No , as long as Dakota is our QB . No coaching can help his sorry ***

Well we now know there is no opening of the playbook. That would have been the game to open it up and show some wrinkles.

I don't know the answer but I will say I wish Jerry would have fired MM last year and hired DeMeco Ryans. I know he is a brand new coach and he may not be worth anything in the long run but I sure like him as a coach and what he brings to the table as a former player. I think he could get everything out of the D, even more than DQ is.

No. Because whoever that person is, he would have been Jerry's stooge....like all of them were except for Jimmy and Bill.

The issue is the front office. jerry and crew would just hire a similar coach who he can proxy through and we'd have gotten the same results as we've gotten the past 25 years. I thought moving on from Garrett would have shown me something different and this team DOES look more coherent, but it doesn't look like enough to get past the 2nd round if we run into the 49ers or eagles.
