Since no one has said anything about Tyrone Crawford

Would still like to see him get a sack. He's a good player but nothing great yet

I don't think you really know what you're talking about. If he had 4 sacks now, which could have happened if these QBs haven't been dumping the ball off at the last moment, we'll be talking probowl for this line now.

Since he got in the starting lineup I no longer worry about us stopping the run.

He was really playing well...I see potential in this line even Selvie was playing hard hes really come around the last 2 games, soon as Spencer is in Game shape hell be good 2

i would still like to see him gain weight and turn into a amazing 1tech. For all this pressure hes getting he doesn seem to have that extra burst that melton has to get the sack. Its clear he has the strength to handle the 1. But not the size right now. Dallas really did itself a disservice by trying to turn him into a DE.

Trust me I know alot more than you will ever now. If he is so great then where is the pressure when McCoy went deep. He had had several chances to get sacks. Sorry bud but you man crush on Crawford does not make him a great player. He is what he is. A good player a good rotational player. Melton was able to get 2 sacks last week, if Crawford was all that he would have too.
People were talking about how crawford is better than hatcher last year. We'll hatcher had 11 sacks last year.
Getting close doesn't count if the QB can still complete the pass. But you somehow think that's a good play. Well since you know everything, is the point of defense is to stop the other team.
Crawford is like Spencer a few years ago. Good player and is almost there but not great.

True but what hatcher d
Idk if anyone noticed but hatcher didn't even make the stat sheet. 0 tackles 0 sacks. Unfortunately , Bruce carter matched his output
What he did in our defense last year outplayed what crawford has done thus far

Saw Marinelli put Melton at the RDE in the 4th quarter, Crawford at the 3T in an attempt to get more pressure------Rod must not have been satisfied what Selvie/Spencer were giving him, or they were worn down at that point of the game.

What I do know is that there have been 100 great sackless DT performances that were better than Melton's performance on MNF over the past few years. Maybe even some Melton performances. So I don't judge games based on stats.

If you have the all 22 (or even just the game saved somewhere) then we can discuss his play as we can both look at film whenever you have the time and compare. But if you don't, I can't discuss further because there's nothing substantive you can add to back your opinions.

I've watched him and I have seen a regular normal good DT. Nothing great. Point is to stop the offense. He didn't do that. He got close but close only counts in hand grenade. Sorry bud but I disagree. I think he is just a good rotational player. Happy he is a cowboy. I like him. But he is nothing special.

Wow. Just wow. Crawford has been our best defensive player with Ro Mac being a close second. The guy just bullies people and is quick enough to penetrate. Remember too that this is just his second year of actually playing. He's still learning. And he's learning to play inside, a new position for him.

I'm still concerned about his durability playing inside. The guy is only about 280. That's light for a DT. Even a 3Tech.

The only problem is - and this is a good problem to have - is that Melton is really starting to look like his old self as well. We need them BOTH. I see Carr restructuring or getting released to be able to keep Melton, as well as Dez, Murray, and McClain.

i noticed during the skins game they slid melton outside. gets your best pass rusher all at the same time. not sure if they will continue to do that with dlaw coming back but it sure worked, crawford is a solid player who may make it possible to not keep melton, or atleast not keep him at current price

They should have given him a sack on McCoys broken play. Instead it was a -2 yard tackle for loss. When that happens to Romo, it's always a sack.

Your right I never said he was a bad player. All I said was that he isn't great. He's not a pro bowler like some are trying to say
