1) Roy Williams' big sideline hit on Amani Toomer in retaliation for talking trash.

2) Santana Moss' two late touchdowns to beat the Boys on the night the Triplets were inducted into the Ring of Honor. I was at this game and it was probably one of the worst feelings I've ever had. I was livid with Parcells for playing it safe instead of going for the jugular, and ever since, I've hated the notion of "playing for field goals" (as in late in the Saints game this year).

Slight difference. I wish he had been benched at that game. We might have had a prayer of winning it with anyone else throwing the ball. He was awful that day. I wanted to put my eyes out.

You're lucky one of Quincy's wayward ducks didn't do the trick for you.

Post memories of random *** moments and players from this decade....

I remember parcells cutting derek ross for being late to a meeting

I remember that too, and I also remember that he was supposed to be a shut-down corner coming out of Ohio St.

I'll go by best moments of each year in the decade

2000
Sweeping the Skins, seeing Ekuban drag Jeff George on the turf, Spellman clocking one of the Skins linemen in a scuffle. That game was bittersweet as Aikman's career ended that day

2001
The victory over the 49ers that day when Quincy had 240 yards passing. I thought that was his coming out party and one year after dissing the star, TO didn't even sniff the end zone that day and was crying and frustrated when Teague slammed him on the ground in the end zone after an incomplete pass his way

2002
Ugly season, but you could say seeing Emmitt Smith break the rushing record. My favorite game was beating the Skins on Thanksgiving Day. Emmitt had pretty much his last great rushing game as a Cowboy, the defense taking over in the 2nd half and wiping that smug off Spurrier's face. All the rookies played well that day, Antonio Bryant, Derek Ross, Roy Williams scoring his first TD. Chad Hutchinson had a nice passing game. Thought we would build from that rookie class

2003
Clinching a playoff berth after 3 straight 5-11 seasons in the Campo era was very satisfying. I remember Parcells saying after one of the big wins to the media "You can't call them losers anymore"......My favorite game is probably the win in NY, Parcells 1st win as Cowboys head coach, which I think led to a good season.

2004
The come from behind win vs the Seahawks on MNF after Al Michaels and company kissed Jerry Rice's behind all night. Julius Jones having a breakout game, and I thought we found our RB heir apparent to Emmitt Smith for the next several years

2005
I would have to say sweeping the Eagles that season. The first game was a thing of beauty with a 33-10 win at home, the come from behind win at the Linc with Roy Williams picking off McNabb for a TD was just as sweet to win in front of the Eagle fans. Honorable mention goes to Ware and Julius' breakout performance in Carolina that year.

2006
Knocking off the unbeaten Colts, being one of the biggest wins in recent memory for Dallas. Going on a 4 game win streak in November and finally finding our franchise QB that season.

2007
Going 12-1 to start the year, looked like the Boys were back to dominance ala the early 90s......my favorite game that year had to be the win in the Meadowlands 31-20 to sweep the Giants with TO's 50 yd TD reception from Romo, which followed with TO and Hurd doing the soulja boy on the sidelines. The giants were riding a 6 gm win streak heading into the game, after starting 0-2. Guys like Jacobs and Strahan and Pierce and Osi were taking shots at our team that week, calling us overrated and how Romo couldnt throw in the pocket. Then Dallas kicked their *** and Crayton made the statement "they always talk about us, but we seem to always come out ahead in the scoreboard." Little did we know what would occur between these two teams later that season.

2008
The win in Washington, where Newman single handedly shutdown Santana Moss, and Romo's first game back from injury, showing how important he truly is to the offense after suffering through 3 weeks of putrid play out of Brad Johnson/Brooks Bollinger. Marion Barber chewing up the last 8 minutes of the clock in the 4th qtr singlehandedly was a beauty to watch as well!

2009
So far, I would have to say the win in philly was big, but possibly could be overtaken by the win vs the unbeaten Saints in new orleans with the Cowboys backs against the wall to make the playoffs. Hopefully it can be a springboard for great things to come this season!

"Mike, the first thing Bill Parcells said to me is, 'I'm going to play Romo.' "

That's the memory that sticks out most to me.

I also remember Folk hitting those two 50+ yarders back-to-back to seal an incredible comeback against Buffalo.

I remember Quincy's first game back after his rookie year injury hitting a huge bomb to Antonio Bryant against the 49ers.

Marion Barber stiff-arming the bejeezus out of Rodney Harrison on one run (hated that punk).

You ain't lying. After that game I contacted a friend who was playing on the team at that time, and he told me stuff that just dropped my jaw.

And just for crazy plays I'll never forget:

Romo trying to recover that snap that went over his head against the Rams, finally getting control of it ~30 yards from the line of scrimmage, and proceeding to weave his way through Ram defenders until he picked up a first down.

Barber getting knocked five yards back into the end zone against the Patriots, getting hit by about five Patriots while still in the endzone, and finally getting out and back to the line of scrimmage. Completely nuts.

The crazy Woody Dantzler return that has to be the best kickoff return ever.

I think Quincy's first game back was against the Skins and I remember him hitting Ismail deep....burned his former teammate at UGA, Champ Bailey

Ah, I think you are right. Now that you mention it, Bryant wasn't even on the team back in Quincy's rookie year.

I just remember a bomb that came as a bit of surprise given how much trouble Quincy was having throwing the ball before the injury. I naively began to think at that point that Quincy might actually have something. Whoops.

For this season, I think the most memorable play to me is the game-winner to Austin against Kansas City. At 2-2, amid overtime against a winless team, I was pretty down. We had already punted once in OT and I'll admit -- I was unenthusiastically watching on, fully expecting our season to come crashing to a halt at any moment. I thought it was the end of Wade.

Then, poof, there goes Miles.

All the Cowboy haters thought it was a joke when the team celebrated together after the win. They kept saying "they shouldn't be happy, they barely beat the winless Chiefs, and they act like they won the Superbowl"

That was a coming together of a team and took off from there.

I'll pat myself on the back for one thing in a year in which I've been wrong on just about everything -- I did think that moment could be a season-changing one. I had a friend over watching the game, and we both looked at each other and said that celebration scene might represent the coming together of a team. In hindsight, I think it absolutely was.

Yea, me too. I was so excited when that happened. I didn't even care he came out and threw a pick or fumbled, whatever. I was just glad to see a real young QB play for the Cowboys. It was great!

Wow, it took 35 posts just to get to this GEM. I figured this was a top 10 post here.

Seriously, 30 plus posts in and nobody mentions the Randal Williams onside kick for a TD vs the Eagles BP's 1st year? It's the fastest TD scored in history at 3 seconds. All those years of Campo and no hope and BP comes here and things start bouncing his way.
