Since when did being "broke" become a "strategy"?

Smart teams get better. March, April, May, etc.

In 2014 free agency 3 of the 4 highest spending teams in guaranteed money missed the playoffs, including the #1 spending Bucs who will now be drafting #1 overall. In 2013 3 of the highest 4 spending teams in guaranteed money missed the playoffs as well.

Teams like the Jets and Bills that have been active also have no money tied up in a franchise QB. That makes life easier this time of the year.

Much rather wait and pick our spots as opposed to coming out today with wallets wide open, diving in head-first. Some really silly spending going on today.

We have a qb playing with an absurd 27 million dollar cap number due to his uncertain health status. That is the root of our "problem" if you want to call it that. If he is still the qb three years from now and we haven't won it than letting him play at this number was a missed opportunity. If he breaks down than it was the right move. Only time will tell on this one.

We could easily have like $20 million in space if we really wanted to right now. We could literally sign anyone we wanted to. The money isn't an issue. We've done the FA spending sprees before. How well does that always turn out?

Not saying it wouldn't be nice to have more space, and not need to restructure anyone, but such is life in the salary capped NFL.

this is nonsense. you can't literally sign anyone. if that's the case sign suh and see how much you have left over for all our free agents and draft picks.

We have 10 million in cap room. How are we broke? Who has the Packers signed?

they've signed cobb and are about to sign buluga...we've signed beasley and free. big difference there.

the 10 million dollars is nothing when you consider all the holes we have on defense.

Yes, you can literally sign anyone, technically. It would just be [censored word similar to stupid/slow] to spend all your cap space on one person. Certainly is possible though.

and over 4 million in holes.

just b/c you have 4 million dollars doesn't mean you're fine if you also have 10-15 mill in obligations.

I guess we have 8 which Is just enough for nothing lol theyd have trouble filling the holes we have with bums and jags for 20 mil.

yes we can sign suh if we want and have keith brookings at every other position. is it really worth it to bring up this fantasy option?

it's more reasonable to say this team is cap strapped yet again and they are sitting on the sidelines because if they go all out for one big FA then they will have scrubs at multiple positions.

this isn't a strategy, this is forced common sense.

So they resigned their own. Seems like a good strategy. Have they lost anyone of their free agents? Have they signed anyone else's free agents? Free was a bigger priority than what Murray is. Beasley is a terrific slot. Rolando will most likely inked pretty soon. Murray hasn't been signed by anyone yet. Cool off man .

Rod is the only hope for dallas and he needs a raise lol. He once again will be given chopped liver so let's just hope he can keep the d average.
