He has got like 5 CBs ahead of Newman. That is BS right there. (but at least Deangelo Hall is not one of them). There are not 13 WRs better then TO. ANd there are CERTAINLY NOT 17 better QBs then Romo.

To address the first comment, I would rate my corners as so...

1. Champ (no debate really)
2. McCallister
3. Samuel
4. Newman
5. Clements

To address the second comment, I would rate my wide receivers as so...

1. Harrison (so consistant it's scary, in a good way)
2. T.O.
3. Chad Johnson
4. Steve Smith
5. Torry Holt

To address your third comment, I would rate my quarterbacks as so...

1. Manning
2. Brady
3. Palmer
4. McNabb
5. Brees
6. Hasselbeck
7. Bulger
8. Romo
9. Rivers
10. Roethlisberger
11. Vince Young (Yes this guy will be a monster)*

The following QBs are all better, currently, than Tony Romo, according to this dogsh** list.

1 - Peyton Manning
2 - Tom Brady
8 - Drew Brees
9 - Carson Palmer
18 - Marc Bulger
20 - Matt Hasselbeck
38 - Philip Rivers
41 - Vince Young
72 - Donovan McNabb
85 - Ben Roethlisberger
91 - Jay Cutler
99 - Matt Leinart
107 - Chad Pennington
113 - Brett Favre
124 - Jon Kitna
127 - Eli Manning
129 - Jake Delhomme

This makes Romo the 18th best QB in football... as in, below average for a starting QB.

King's an idiot.

Andre Johnson ahead of Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, Roy Williams, and Terrell Owens?

okay.

Terrell Owens NOT top 100?

okay.

Manning, Brady, Brees, Palmer and BUlger are the only QBs right now BETTER then Romo.

Funny, if Parcells were still here, Romo would be about six or seven on that list.

I say it again -- last year King had us going to the Super Bowl with, presumably, Tony Romo at the helm. (Because of course he said Romo would take over for Bledsoe at some point.) And now Romo is the 18th best?

Anybody want to reconcile those two?

Don't get worked up, it's a stupid list and we all know it.

Parcells' influence makes his players better than they are otherwise?

Romo's last five games reconciles that fairly nicely.

The author of this list is just one example of the minds at work on the Hall of Fame selection committee.

They supposedly make informed, intelligent decisions about guys who played 20 or 30 years ago, and yet they don't even have a clue about current players.

mcnabb? hasselback?
I'll give you McNabb, for now. Hasselbeck is not "better". He is more PROVEN, but if last year was any indication, Romo is right with him and has a shot at surpassing him in '07.

The only thing Romo lacks is the # of games. There is no doubt in my mind that he will establish himself as one of the better QBs in football in 2007.

Oh, and another gem from King's list...

Wes Welker was rated higher than the likes of Anquan Boldin, Lee Evans, Marques Colston, Plaxico Burress, Laverneus Coles, and Randy Moss.

but hasselback doesn't have the weapons romo has.

Of course McBriar is over Benson, he is barely a starter in the league while McBriar is the best punter in the NFL. It took Thomas Jones going to New York for Benson to even get a job. He hasnt exactly met his lofty expectations as a former number 5 overall.

Really?

Over just the last five games of the season, Romo posted a quarterback rating of 77.1.

By contrast, the following quarterbacks, all of whom were ranked ahead of Romo, posted similiar or lesser ratings over the course of the entire season:

Hasselbeck 76.0
Manning 77.0
Roethlisberger 75.7
Leinart 74.0
Favre 72.7
Kitna 79.9
Young 66.7

Having the courage of one's conviction is an admirable trait; however, being totally consumed with a petty agenda is not.
