Size comparison - Jayden Blue vs. historic RBs

There RB's on this team that have played well in the NFL. Also, being a rookie has no bearing on talent or capabilities. We will all know once the season begins. This assumption is not historically based.
I think “ played well” is subjective. Well as a starter or a backup? Big difference.

He hasn't been the full time guy. Expecting that he'll become one here is a little too optimistic. That said, he's the most talented RB we've got, so they absolutely should give him a shot to prove he can or can't do it.

Pollard could've started but we held back because of 'limitations'. We won't know till we try.
I think he’d be best utilized like we did with Pollard when he was paired with Zeke. Pollard with fresh legs was a problem for defenses. Asking Blue to be a bell cow or carry the ball 18-20 a game will likely deaden his best trait which is his explosiveness. I’d want him to touch the ball 12-15 times a game (rushing + receiving).

Some are going way overboard. Although it’s a size comparison it’s silly mentioning a 5th round pick with Dorsett, Emmitt and Barry Sanders. There’s a lot of backs that have entered the league the same size as Blue. It’s ridiculous comparing him with 3 HOF backs of similar size thinking he could end up as great as them. I’m not saying he can’t be or won’t be a good player.

One of the first things I heard about Jayden Blue is that he is too small to be a RB1. Blue is 5’9” tall (same height as Emmitt Smith), and 196 lbs. (4 lbs heavier than Tony Dorsett. So, if Blue cannot handle being RB1, it really isn’t his size that is the issue.

Blue didn’t have the college production of Blue either Smith or Dorsett, and there isn’t much evidence from his college tape that he has the vision of either of those HOF players. Who knows if Blue knows how to pick up a blitzing LB, or help the tackle by chip blocking a DE on the way to the flat?

There are plenty of reasons you might choose to justify a belief that Blue is not a RB1, or a future HOF player. But size isn’t one of them. Barry Sanders was 5’8”, while other HOF backs were larger.

I’m interested in how Blue will perform. I have zero concern about his size.
Blue just needs to be a contributor.

I would very happy if he reaches Aaron Jones level achievement...hopefully with less injuries than Jones.

Not my statement to prove. Not liking the teams years of mediocrity, is no reason to make bold unproven statements.
Yeah, what I thought.

A know nothing, acting large. Stay in your lane. Im sure your your fantasy fb league thinks you're a genius.

J charles, c garner, c j 2k , emmitt, b Sanders were all small and had success as starters.

Yep. And Tony Romo was an undrafted FA. You know how many undrafted FAs never made a team, let alone start?

Me either, but Im guessing a shyte ton.

Point being...can you hit on outliers, yes. Is it a huge gamble to bet on outliers, yes.
