We didn't need Davis, we needed a LG. Davis happened to be a lineman available in FA who we brought in for a look. We weren't heavily interested in him. A pretty good job by him and his agent to drive up his asking price by bringing Washington in the talks.

We weren't going to break the bank on Dockery whos a much better and up and coming player, what made the media think we'll do it on a bust like Davis? We've only brought in players familiar with our system this year. I doubt Dan will ever pull an Adam Archuleta ever again. Hes a changed man.

yeah, you only had Jason Campbell take him out for a 100 dollar lunch, in which he opined, "I'm going to need to feed my OG", and had him meet w/ your line coach, your owner and HC

well, he'll be 31 in June, and was a very solid guard until he got hurt last year. I think he'd do OK as Dockery's replacement. But he could be a bust, just like Arch and Lloyd were. LOL

Take a look at arch for instance. People reported that he was the highest paid safety ever. However, his base salary in the first couple of seasons is very low. So while the $30 mil seems like a lot, he will never see most of that money.

Yeah, because the Skins are ALWAYS bringing players in to Commanders Park that they're not really all that eager to sign... I mean, it happens all the freakin' time...

That's why we read all those posts about how Danny Boy ALWAYS signs them if he gets them out to Redksins Park...

Where's your EVIDENCE of this "changed man"?? Looks to me like he still jumped into free agency with both feet; with free agency now 3 days old, he's signed two players already, and tried hard to sign a third (he just got outbid)...

He's still out there, extending deals of some of his "key veterans", those same guys who helped lead the Skins to that 5-11 record last year...

Yeah, sure looks like a "changed man" to me...

Its nice to hear somebody else say this also.. I've been saying all along that Lil Danny hasn't learned a thing. He's restructuring players who got him a 5-11 record last season.. Thats ridiculous!!!!
