***Skins/Panthers game thread***

I bet there's an abundance of "quarter chubs" over on ES though...

Apparently they just scored from a TD pass from Campbell.

On ES, they said it was a remarkable pass that showed incredible poise from JC. According to them, he threaded the needle and is showing amazing poise and patience.

Then I look at the thing on yahoo with the play by play. It says it was a 4 yard TD pass. That Campbell is 10/19 and 52 yards in the third quarter.

The people at ES must be the biggest football morons in the world; the way they are talking up JC sounds like they would have LOVED to have Quincy.

He did show patience on that throw, and he did thread a needle to get it to Randell ELL.

you cant really comment on the TD play if you haven't seen the play. JC was under a lot of rush, stepped up away from the rush, and made a good throw.

While it wasn't spectacular, it was still a nice play. As for his play as a whole, all I'll say is he hasn't lost the game for us. As long as he protects the ball i'll be satisfied

It was a good play, but no where near as good as Romo. If Romo was the QB on that play, he'd have thrown the touchdown, had sex with all the cheerleaders, killed a bear with his bare hands, and then run for another touchdown on the same play to boot! :laugh2:

So true.

10/20, 52 tards, 1 TD, 0 INTs (Should have two, but both were dropped)

So he is completing 50% of his passing and is averaging 2.7 yards per attempt

THIS is the guy Commanders fans are saying is/will be better than Romo? :lmao2:

Gibbs may be the worst coach in the NFL right now.

Why on earth would you challenge a clear catch like that. That's a wasted challenge and a Time Out when they may need it moving forward.

Great catch by Smith by the way.

He didnt thread the needle, he hit a open Randle El on a 4 yard pass while avoiding one pass rusher. Most HS QBs could make that throw.

Do Skins fans still think that Sean Taylor and AA are the top 2 safetys in football and both superior to Roy?

teh Commanders have some great blocking on kick-returns, because Rock does nothing special, but gives the Commanders pretty good starting position everytime out

They've pretty much given up on Archuleta, but they still insist Taylor is the second coming of Ronnie Lott and Deion Sanders rolled into one.

AA - no. Taylor - yes.

Don't you know that Roy is horribly overrated?

thats not gibbs' fault. He didnt even see the play before he challenged. The people in the box were the ones who told him to challenge, he trusts them, so threw the flag. Hardly gibbs' fault

Taylor got beat twice in coverage (granted, not long passes) on 3rd down, once by a fullback, and then proceeded to hold Keyshawn on 3rd down (?) to give them a first on the last TD drive by Carolina.
