exactly, we were in their position once and it was a wonderful thing, we should admire their ability and strive to do the same ourselves, not cry about how well they do their job

The salary cap doesn't really handcuff teams anymore. I don't think it's an issue.

The salary cap doesn't do jack to keep teams from keeping and/or getting good players. If a team wants a particular player, there are a million ways to get them just like there are a million ways to keep a good player that wants to leave.
