I'd say the 3 picks lost the game. Now, had Prescott tossed those picks, this board would have been lit up about how bad he is. Now that Rush was in, "the defense lost the game".
Rush isn't paid 40 million a year...

Yes, it’s entirely the fault of the one stop the defense couldn’t get in the second half despite the previous stops that allowed Rush and co. to get back in the game.

Defense lost the game. I said the storm was coming and I was correct. Our linebacking core (not Parsons) is pathetic and porous and cannot stop anything. We are not winning the division and Giants will get the wild card if there is one. Stick a knife in it.
The 3 turn overs didn’t cause any problems
Geez
The defense didn’t lose the game
No defense is gonna shut out a good team every week

Yeah, CeeDeez Nutz had a block in the back that didn’t kill an early drive. Oh, wait …….. snap.
That was maybe the dumbest block in the back penalty I've ever seen. Absolutely no reason to have done it and it was half-###ed anyway. Just a stupid mental mistake

I'm ok with going for it on 4th. Problem was they got cute instead of lining up and QB sneak. Sometimes that gives the team momentum but a terrible play call can ruin it

I agree, even if you don't want to use QB sneak you could always have Zeke in wildcat formation and let him grind out 1 yard, actually inches not a full yard. Had Dallas ran that play deeper in Philly territory I would not have an issue to bootleg and throw but deep in our own end of the field, Hell Philly was in FG range as soon as they got the stop.

It’s funny how the media is making stuff up about the Cowboys. The team is close. Dak and Cooper support each other. This is Dak’s team. It funny how Jerrah says something on a Friday that nobody is talking about the Cowboys and the media runs with it like flies to poop.

Sigh.

Yeah, our "defense" lost the game.

Not the boneheaded penalties, going for it on 4th down at our own 34 or the 3 ints. Those had no effect at all.

Lordy.

When you agree with Skip on anything, it is time to re-review whatever it is.

Exactly, way too many mistakes by McCarthy, Moore and Rush in that first half. Eagles were playing with a short field every time in that first half.

The defense lost the game? Right. Had nothing to do with Rush playing like trash. He had 3 ints. and it could have VERY easily been 6. No team is consistently winning in this league with a QB like Rush. Period.

Not a thing wrong with our defense. They’ll be fine.

We may or may not win the division, but we’re definitely making the playoffs. It will change, but 538 has the Cowboys as the 2nd strongest team in the NFC today. Our defense is right where it needs to be, we have a real QB coming back with one more WR than he had in game 1, his TE coming back, and Washington hopefully due back soon.

I watched Bayless this morning. You think he ‘was right’? No, he wasn’t. One thing’s for sure: Rush will be parked back on the bench right where he belongs when we play Detroit. If we never see him take another snap for the Cowboys, that’s fine with me. He’s played like trash in every game. Yep, we won 4 in a row, but not a single one had anything to do with Cooper Rush. Like EVERY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE KNOWS, as soon as Rush was forced to throw the ball, he folded like a cheap suit. That’s why not a single team had any interest in him when he was cut and was an unrestricted free agent a month and a half ago.

When was the last time a 6th year backup came off the bench in the NFL and took a franchise QB’s job away from him? I’ll save you the research:

Never.

Right. As soon as Rush went into shotgun I knew it would be stopped. Just really didn't like the play call

Rush isn't paid 40 million a year...

Right and for a reason, Better hope the 40 million guy gets back and plays good ball because Rush doesnt have that gear...he just doesnt. Like Dak dont like Dak really doesnt matter, If you like the Cowboys you better hope Dak gets back to what he was to start the season last year because thats our only hope and option as the ink on his contract is dry.

I don't see this at all.

The performance wasn't as dominant as other games, but it was still strong and easily enough to win if the offense had performed.

Instead the offense kept putting the defense in hole the first half. Certainly, with the Eagles first TD drive the Cowboy defense failed, but the next 3 scores came after the Cowboy offense gave the Philly offense the ball in Cowboy territory. In 3 straight possessions the Cowboy offense had an INT, turnover on downs and another INT, and the Eagles started their possessions on the Cowboy 44, 34 and 46, and in 2 of those 3 the defense held Philly to a FG. The Cowboy offense only had 52 yards the entire 1st half, so it didn't help at all.

The 2nd half the Cowboy defense was very good except on 1 Eagle possession. Other than one possession the Cowboy defense dominated.

Overall, 3 turnovers and a turnover on downs well into Cowboy territory is what lost the game. That's on the offense.

yes and no

did the defense play well enough for us to win the game? I'd say yea. Had a couple of second half stops and timely sacks.

did the defense play well enough given the offense's production? Nope...can't say they did

I said the storm was coming. It has arrived. LVE clown show exposed. Running teams should be licking their chops to run up the middle. Nothing there. Vacuous.
