Skip Bayless-"Why Jerry Jones' team won't win"

of course Jerry wants to win another Super Bowl....but not at the expense of giving up GM duties.
This is a great hobby that he has. Him and his doofy son enjoy the day to day activities of operating and talking about their great hobby, The Dallas Cowboys.

It's amazing that people can watch some of the QB play around the league and not realize why Romo was resigned.

I bet they don't watch other QB's around the league.

They just remember back to roger or Troy or maybe even dandy don.

LOL.

Definition of a fair weather fan.

Putting all the blame on JJ seems like a cop out to me and a distraction from the real problem. Which is JG.

Kiss my ***! I've been a fan for 34 ******* years and I have to hear it from the likes of you? **** off and shove up your ***!

Until this team makes a serious run at the SB, every point about every person in that article is deserved.

Whether Jerry wants to win or not,one thing is for certain.Jerry Jones is a terrible GM.

I'm sure he really wants to win. Winning another Super Bowl would give him the cred he's dying to receive.

Unfortunately, it's like me trying to be an Olympic gymnast. Doesn't matter how much I want it ... I don't have the ability. Same with Jerry Jones.

Pretty good article.

At this point I would say the closest thing we have to a bad cop on this team is Sean Lee. He's found his voice and especially last week when after the game he talked about how they can't continue to not execute otherwise Dallas will continue to be 8-8 and that's unacceptable. He used the word unacceptable after the Denver loss as well, giving up all the yardage.

I hope he keeps going.

I would like to throw a rock at the mirror out front of the stadium. However, Jerruh probably put it there in hopes that someone would do that....making another article and keeping the spot light on the Cowboys regardless of record.

Except he already has 3 Gold Medals.

That was a different competition.

Really. It's not that easy to win the Super Bowl. 31 other teams are trying just as hard to win(maybe not all 31, but most). The NFC East is historically one of the toughest Divisions in the league. I'm not happy with the last 15 years, but since the Campo era we've been competitive most years.

While I agree it's REALLY hard to win a Superbowl, I do think think it's acceptable to expect the front-office to select coaches and players who get put the team in a position of perennial playoff contender.

In the last 10 years, Dallas has made the playoffs 4 times and was one game away 4 other times. While not outstanding, it's not as bad as a lot of people around here make it out be.

Yea if there was an "almost" champion we'd have a real shot. Yay.

Oh geez! So the Cowboys have made the playoffs only 40% of the time in the last 10 years with only one win and you think it's not that bad?! To your point about being one game away 4 times is they still didn't make it!

We just see things different. I think being in playoff contention in 8 out of 10 years isn't that bad. I would prefer it to include more playoff wins, but that's out of my hands.

Good teams are concerned with being in Super Bowl contention, not playoff contention. Being in playoff contention may very well only mean your division is weak. Do you deserve credit for not sucking as much as your rivals? Are you going to celebrate an 8-8 playoff birth this year (assuming it even happens)? It's still the same mediocre, unacceptable team, only you've gotten lucky in that three other teams happen to be even worse. Does Jerry get credit for making the Commanders, Giants, and Eagles suck this year? Your standards are too low, and that's a shame.

I'm going to bring up a point that I've never heard brought up before.

Maybe it's time...

...Jerry the owner....

......fires Jerry the GM?

;) A little humor for fellow Ticket fans.
