- Top two picks are walk in starters that should be able to play at high level immediately

- LVE is good enough right now to be a solid rookie MLB. His ability to shed will come, but he gives tremendous range in both the running game and passing game. His range will help the safety group

- Williams will outperform many OL drafted ahead of him. He is a player whom if he came out last season would have been a definite first round pick. Putting him opposite Martin gives us the potential to have two dominant OG's.

- I dont know of Gallup is a future #1 WR, and I dont know if he is a rookie starter, but he is a clear upgrade over Butler and should become a clear upgrade over Williams at some point

- Armstrong is going to be an interesting player to follow. Behind Lawrence and likely starter Charlton you have Elay, Tapper and possibly Gregory. Dallas finds snaps for almost everyone, but he is going to have to work to get on the field. However roster spots arent set in stone for any of those three.

- I think Shultz has a chance to become the starter this year. Really not a sexy player, but very solid. Strong run blocker which may win him the job. I believe he can be a dependable target in short to medium range.

- The rest of day is interesting. Mike White is a gifted QB, but is very hard to evaluate due to how poor his team was. Also played 4 different systems. Both Covington and Wilson may become PS stashes, but could become contributors down the line. Wilson may even contribute this year, depending on what we do with the veterans on the WR corpse. Bo Scarborough is great value in the 7th. A 2 down hoss who pairs well with the more versatile Smith behind Elliott.

**Austin was a good, cheap flier on top end talent. Cost us only a 6th and about 1 mil in cap space. Dont know how they are going to use him, or of he will be useful but it could pay dividends

I agree....very very interesting day, did not see those two trades coming....this team is giong to be exciting to watch develop. All of a sudden we are very young and have a lot of talent

Biggest head scratcher to me is Covington, but overall we've done a lot worse in drafts.

Good start, not sure about the middle, ended well.
Ya Covington was a head scratcher. But he must have been a guy they thought they could develop and wouldn't be able to get later. He has some traits, just an unknown

No idea until they play for real, but Off top of my head

Rd 1: B
Rd 2: A
Rd 3: B+
Rd 4: D
Rd 5: B
Rd 6: C
Rd 7: B

If you weight the early rounds much higher--which by far you should, due to value, it was B

I have a sneaky feeling that we were patient, calculated and maneuvered with a plan!

Smart LB who should be a special teams demon.

Amazing how young this team will be now. Witten alone prob dropped the average age by half a year, lol.

Get these kids some NFL experience then fill in some holes and get a splash player or two in FA with the cap room they have next year.

Austin at the least will be an upgrade over Switz in special teams.

If Scarborough makes the team he’d be great to use in a dual back set in short yardage where you can give it to him or Zeke

It feels like the '91 Cowboys ... in terms of youth and talent.

Haha people complain about Switzer fumbling once and so in love with a guy that fumbles every game

A couple of non moves were head scratches, but overall I think it was a non spectacular but solid draft.

Yup...thats very fair and it needs to be addressed but I would take tavon over Switzer any day of the week

I’m a bit underwhelmed by the draft, but that’s a byproduct of the mock draft era. We will see. They usually make their living in udfa. Here’s hoping

I've seen him play at Indiana. I live in Big Ten country and went to a BT school, so I see those guys more than some others. It just wasn't a position I figured the Cowboys would take at that spot in the draft. But if he's the biggest "complaint" I'll take it.
