If he plays at all mid season ill be happy. I thought it was a 2 season till 100% anyways.

Cowboys being smart. Still over 2 months until training camp.

They typically err on the side of caution, and there's no reason to overwork the kid now. He's rehabbing just fine and attending all of the meetings he needs to. Nothing to be gained by pushing it.

Pretty sure they're gearing everything towards a return at some point during training camp. And that may even be on a limited basis. Plenty of time here...

They have been doing the right thing in his return so far.
I will post why does the team say he will practice at rookie camp and then he won't, just sideline work. Mostly in jest though. As we will get the typical day to day from Jason..LOL...

But they are doing it the right way.
Ease him back in a little more each day. As was mentioned, what is the recovery time after a game. But for now, what is the recovery time after a full practice, once he gets to that point.

Here is to seeing that progress from "day to day" LOL...meaning, what will he do in rookie mini camp, then in each of the OTA's, how much more will he do in each one.
Then I think during the mandatory mini camp in June, hopefully we see a precursor to TC.

As long as there is progress in what they allow him to do, it will be great.

We drafted this guy in the 2nd round. Signed him to a 4 year contract. Gave him 4.5 mil guaranteed.

And you'll be happy if he doesn't play in essentially 2 years?

First year does not count on the 4 year contract because he never saw the field. So it's like we just drafted him this year.

I would've expected them to ease him back in. He hasn't played football in over a year. You build a new engine in your boat and your not gonna go out and run it at 6k RPM's you're gonna break it in. Same goes for Jaylon ease him in, he's gonna be a good one

It'd be stupid to rush him back, i think the old regime would've thrown him back out there with the cast on from his surgery.
