Ummmm, buy low, sell high?

I usually make mine with Whey Protein, yogurt, Stawberries, Banana, and Orange juice. Or Whey Protein, yogurt and blackberries.

Yogurt, maybe. a good idea

I keep it simple... Vanilla whey protein, yogurt, frozen strawberries, and a little sugar or honey.

These all sound good, excuse my incompetence, but what is whey protien, and why use it?

no need for the whey.

Peanut butter, oats, yogurt, fruits etc.

basiclly youll get enough protien from foods. Youll just end up crapping out the rest of the unused protein

Best protein for working out, best with muscle growth and speed of the recovery from the workout.

So to summarize, you're saying no whey?

I'm assuming these things are pretty filling? I never got into the smoothie craze, but I have had a few at smoothie king, and must admit, they are damn good. You boys have convinced me, next time I'm at the grocery store, I'm going to buy the fixins and start making them.

I usually just buy the mid-priced, low-fat fruit yogurt and blend 1 of those with a banana, a 1/2 a container of 2% milk and some ice.

Takes 2 mins, is filling, and even if I don't drink it all, I'm at least getting something in my stomach besides just coffee or tea.

I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay $5 for that at some shop though.

I tried it with Oatmeal in it, which I dispise and I didnt taste it, so i was getting Oatmeal which is extremely healthy without the disgusting taste.

Smoothies = Great :bow:

Go to FoodNetwork.com and in the search box type Good Eats Smoothie. I think you will be pleased.

Also, I just recently read abou Force Factor. Supposedly it is a great supplement for helping to build muscle and increase your workout performance.

As for me, I would take some frozen strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, pineapples and peaches....let them thaw for a few hours in the fridge, then blend them along with some honey. I might add some apple or grape juice.

Dole wilderberries/blueberries are a great mixer with protein and bananas.

I'm enjoying my first homemade smoothie as we speak.

Strawberries
bannana
blueberries
peaches
plain yogurt
milk

It is very good, but I expected it to be a little sweeter. Any suggestions?

Protein powder usually gives it an extra sweetner.

If you dont want to try that then give apple juice a whirl.

Honestly I like smoothies because I can drink them on the go and I get a ton of healthy benefits. I could honestly care less how good or bad they taste but usually they taste pretty good.

I've had some that taste like pure vomit though.

Anyways this is my go to smoothie minus the ocean vegetable.

I do the chocolate Protein mix with my coffee in the mornings. All the other stuff goes down the hatch the traditional way throughout the day.

Honey or Splenda would be a better choice in my experience. With all the other stuff you're putting in it, protein powder seems like it'd just be overkill.
