Which reminds me: If Octavien becomes a starter... will we have to start calling him Augustus?

As an amateur Classicist, I demand we call him Octavius now, Octavian if he makes the team, and Augustus if he becomes a starter.

Bradie James is a leader on this team. His attitude will be contagious, if it hasn't become already.

As for Wade - will the Cowboys become the first team to "coach by committee" if the defense enjoys continued success this season? I think the big problem we've got now is simply penalties. Offense and defense both look sound.

Go Cowboys! :star:

That is exactly what I worried about with TO being around Bennett and Pacman being around Jenkins.

Thankfully, they didn't pick up any of their bad habits and now both players look to be great choices for us.
Bennett keeps in touch with TO constantly, FWIW. As goofy as Bennett is, he seems to be his own man. He won't let TO or anyone else influence his behavior or dedication to the game.

As much as Dallas would like to stay out of the lime light, it just isn't possible. Did anyone see BSPN last night?

It showed a picture of TO, then said, even with TO gone, there is still contraversy in Dallas (over the scoreboard/punt debacle). This crap is ridiculous. I am sure if we got back to our Super bowl winning days, they would be all on our jock.

I don't watch them anymore. Only while a game is actually on -halftime.

I hear ya, sometimes there is just simply nothing on TV and I end up leaving it there because I do enjoy the top 10 plays.

I hate Ed Warder though. What a sack of ****

Great article, but all that said, last year's team was 9-7 and probably a healthy thumb (Romo) and toe (Felix) away from 11-5 or 12-4. If you had to pick three players that must stay healthy this season to make a championship run, they are Romo, Felix and Ware.

I do love all the lower expectations. Let's get this thing started already!!

The Dallas Soap Opera is the Cowboys new video board. :banghead:

I love the video board as the drama; that means we have no players causing issues; no coaches sucker punching each other nothing for the writers to create stories about.

Funny how the Video board is a bigger story than the rest of the entire NFL. So yay to the giant Video Board Soap Opera

I wish these guys would have said all this last year and gotten into the faces of the malcontents.

Being a veteran carries a lot of weight in NFL lockerrooms, and in the case of last year you had probably the most veteran player on the offense (TO) and the most veteran player on defense (Ellis) as part of the problem. Sometimes the tree doesn't grow until you prune away the old branches.

I think its funny in the NFL how an oversized jumbotron TV in a new stadium gets more publicity than a head coach punching an assistant coach in the face!
