I noticed watching some of the games last year we are always snapping the ball with one ot two seconds left or at zero, to me it makes it easier on the defense, because they know when the ball is going to be snapped, What do yall think

I'm not as concerned with when the ball is being snapped as with offensive line blocking effectiveness during run or pass plays. Even if the defense knows the snap count to the very last HUT!HUT!, I still want the offensive line to pick up the blitzers on passing downs and open holes for Barber & Co. where they're supposed to be.
Classic Vacation! :laugh2:

we don't have any linemen who can get into their set-ups quickly enough, except for maybe Leonard Davis

Garrett couldn't fit his head in a plastic bag, much less fit the O around his players

I agree, all I am saying is it make sit easier on the defense to tee off, if we snapped the ball earlier we might even get some offsides

I'm not laying the offensive line problems mainly at Garrett's feet. That's Houck's responsibility.

Cohesiveness seemed like the offensive line's main problem last season. Once Kosier was gone, the other four appeared indecisive in their blocking assignments. I'm giving him too much credit, but he did seem more valuable in blocking schemes than I first thought.

well I am, he knows he has a lumbering Oline, he shouldn't expect them to jump out of their stances and hold up against twists and stunts and speed-rushes for 4-5 seconds

Delay of game was just one of the problems with this O-line but yeah we noticed it. Gurode is a good blocker but a lousy snapper...

As we've seen, snapping the ball too early is a much bigger problem. Romo's not ready for it, and the defense gets to come across the line before our linemen can react.

I sincerely doubt that the opposing defense has any idea how much time is on the clock when we snap the ball. They're too busy watching the ball or listening to Romo's cadence.

this scenario is used to "milk the clock".I other words, run as much time off of the clock, thus leaving your opponent with very little time left to score. It works really well, when you have a signifigant lead.

It happened to often last year. Just another example of our dumb offense. Lets just get the play off with 1 second left in the clock.. Brilliant!

Dude, we have already beat this topic into the ground here. We all know by now that Gurode is a moron, who for some reason keep gets sent to the Pro Bowl. :p:
