The Cowboys players were abysmal, possibly even more-so than the officials' calls. The only Dallas offensive player who performed adequately was Ezekiel Elliott. Otherwise, they were about as uninspired as any team could be. Obviously, JG's pep talks didn't sink in. Defensively, the outrageous number of missed tackles were totally uncharacteristic of a supposedly "hot" team.

We'd better hope the OL and their "wounded warriors" find a miracle cure before Tampa Bay comes calling next Sunday. Here's hoping the offseason sees that group getting a much needed bolstering in 2019. It's amazing what a couple of years can do to devastate a former highly regarded OL.

It wasn't just a loss. It was a violation. The offense was inept. The defense lacked testicular fortitude. The coaches were mind boggled.

Agreed. It wasn’t just “a loss”. If they fight their guts out and lose 24-21 on the road to the Colts, you are disappointed but you figure it was bound to happen at some point. They were brutalized today on both sides of the ball and it was abundantly clear which team was more prepared. It was incredibly disappointing coming on the heels of the inspired play of the last few weeks. Just when you start thinking that a culture of winning is starting to develop, they have one of their worst efforts in the last 15 years. Time and again this seems to be the pattern with Mr. Jones’ teams— they play just well enough to keep the barbarians at bay, then the breathe a sigh of relief only to get swept right into their off-season. The corner just never gets fully turned.

Next week looks like a must win

“Must win” indeed. Nightmare Scenario: A three way tie going into Week 17 and the Cowboys “choke” vs. the NYG giving the winner of Eagles-Commanders the division title. We’ve seen this movie before haven’t we? What, “on paper”, looked like a lead-pipe cinch NFC East title for the Cowboys is suddenly very much in doubt.
