Snyder Steals Your Bags

Leave your anti-Snyder signs home, too

WASHINGTON -- What's a man gotta do to bring a lunch in this place? That's what Skins fans are asking themselves after yesterday's game and the team's new-found banning of everyone's favorite form of lunch tote, the brown paper bag.
Posters to extremeskins.com, the team's quasi-official message board, claim that Danny Boy's minions were confiscating paper sacks at the gates.
On the radio, the Sports Junkies had been pushing fans to bring paper bags to yesterday's game to wear on their head to register disgust with the team's ownership and the general state of the team. Apparently, anyone who took them up on their suggestion was turned away at the door.
Apparently brown paper bags are too much for Little Danny's ego.
var nbcSlideshowTitle_2 = "Top Sports Photos"; A few fans were able to sneak their brown paper contraband into the stadium and began wearing their signs in the second quarter, with the team playing as poorly as they ever have. Stadium security reportedly swarmed, demanding the fans take their bags off.
Bags weren't the only thing confiscated. Danny sent his yellow-jacketed minions out to take down any signs they saw -- especially if they involved your hatred for the team's owner.
Danny doesn't want any embarrassment.
(Other than the crappy product he puts on the field.)

And I don't blame anyone who makes fun of Snyder for doing it. It makes him look small and classless.

anyone who defends Snyder ought to take a look in the mirror.

Cowboys fans should be real close to busting out the paper bags themselves in Jerry's new stadium

First he comes for our bags, and we say nothing...

Seriously though, I wouldn't be surprised if this happens to the Cowboys in a year or two. Egomaniacal owners, poor teams, rising unemployment, and millionaire players who berate their fans on twitter all combine to mark the downfall of the Commanders and Cowboys. Yes, I am grouping you with the Commanders.

Snyder is such a miserable person. You know he is.

All that money, but he can't buy success. So he resorts to spending money to hush his critics.

Having security confescate paper bags is just like how he buys a radio station and to control his critics.

The guy is the epitome of a loser. He may be worth a billion dollars, but deep down he's a loser.

Just like his football team.

Jerry has many faults.

But he lets people get away with criticizing him and still does interviews with them and so on.

One of the good things about Snyder is that he doesn't do interviews anymore. The team should speak with one voice - the coach's.

Edit: so I understand what you're saying. Jerry is probably a better person than Snyder, but from a football standpoint, I'd rather the owner keep his mouth shut.

I really wouldn't have any problem at all with Jerry adopting that stance. I'd be quite in favor of him just keeping quiet and letting football men run the team. That will never happen though so I'm wasting my time hoping for it.

As for Snyder and the bags...it's really not all that surprising to me. Snyder is pathetic. He's been that way since he entered the league and he'll be that way all the way till the day he's out of the league.

No what I am saying is...there have been many in the media and so on that have criticized Jerry. He is not so petty just to never talk with them or try and remove them or so on.

I also doubt Jerry would have security go around taking bags from people.

I think Snyder might not be as vocal as jerry in the media but I imagine Snyder is much more paranoid or vindictive in a way to people that try to say something about him. That is just my opinion.

Jerry Jones is the GM of the Cowboys, he's not just the owner.

As the GM, he has the right to speak for the team as far as player personnel are concerned.

As far as Snyder and the bags in the stadium are concerned, I'm sure no owner would be happy with a stadium full of guys with bags over their heads.

However, if he keeps his current direction, he'll have an empty stadium, which is even worse.

A few years ago I went to a Cowboys/Redsk*ns game here in D.C. and I took with me a sign that read:

"I support Snyder and Spurrier"

The security staff's irony meter must have been working well because they confiscated the sign from me in about 2 minutes. :laugh2:

Then Snyder will just sue the fans for not showing up to the games and paying for concessions and parking and such.

We have a worse version of Snyder here right at home. At least Skins fans have lost all expectation for success.

We still have people who hold a false pretense of hope based off 3 super bowl wins that occurred many, many years ago.

****, even our GM doesn't second guess his abilities because of that same success from like 15 years ago.

I don't think Jerry would take our paper bags, he seems to take criticism quite well at least publicly even though he never seems to listens to it. He just turns into Jerry the salesman and salesman Jerry could sell you your own stuff and have you walking away feeling good about it.
He even convinced the local media and the majority of our fan base the continuity was the way to go after last season... i wish i had his powers of persuasion :laugh2:

But results wise we're heading in the same direction, and i don't think it's 2 years away :(

Skins fans are wrong as always. Jerry would sell the bags in the stadium for 40 dollars a go. Differnt styles, colors and sizes. Hell, he might just take them of fans on the way out so they have to buy new ones the following week.

He could fall into a sewer and come up with a Rolex on each arm. He's with the team until he's in the ground.
