I thought the Eagles had one of the worst drafts in the NFL.

The Bills was worse, but that was about it.

Bills didnt have a first rounder though:thumbup:

Agreed.

But their second round pick was horrid.

Their fifth round pick was another RB... Really another RB.

And they selected 3 players from FS... Didn't they have the budget to scout more than a couple schools?

Hey guys I still like to think im new to the board... but is this guy like a shtick on here??

Like "Im a cowboys fan who dosent want to sound like a blind homer shtick"

Because he is giving grades based on potential of the picks the teams took... yet he immediately decides to past judgement on a cowboys player on things not involved on the field when we should base the draft only on the talent we were able to acquire

Yes, it's schtick. And then he later denies he said most of the things he said to get the attention and completely ignore them when they get direct-linked. Or he'll keep saying them long, long past the point where it's believable which is disorienting and eventually gets you to question whether he was serious in the first place.

But he's bright and definitely funny and not afraid to bring a good football opinion. Just scratch him under the chin and don't engage on the topics of CB play or Anthony Hitchens, and you'll get along fine. Give him a 'like' every now and then and he might even curl up on your lap or tell you a story about how smart he is.

The Bills fleeced Chippy for McCoy.

The Rams fleeced Chippy again for Foles and a 2nd rounder.

Andy Reid fleeced Chippy by talking to the Titans. This was the greatest fleecing of them all.

Noticing a trend here? The NFL doesn't want you and your college offense Chippy. Now go back to school.

I agree with there logic that FSU is better then they are, so why not steal there players

I dont even think Karlos Williams could get 800 yards behind our line. Ultimate Looks Like Tarzan, Plays Like Jane

I think you can question the Scherf pick a little bit too. They could have taken Williams there and then gone for a guard a little later I bet.

They passed on the superior talent of Williams and probably found no trading partners to move down.

Scherff was a solid need pick for the Commanders but they passed on a superior talent and arguably the best player in the draft thus failed to take the best player available, sorry but no praise for that type of move.

You thought Agholor over DGB, Dorsett, Perriman...not to mention Dupree still on the board. That was easily 1 of the worst 1st rounds picks to me. Getting Rowe in the 2nd was definitely a good pick though.

Chip wanted another Maclin clone, he found it in round one.

Rowe was a decent pick but overall Chip was pretty average but make no mistake, he is running that organization top to bottom now.

I thought I read he fired basically the entire scouting department, yikes:

http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/...les-scouting-staff-anthony-patch-rick-mueller

The Eagles scouting staff members are no exception, especially now that Chip Kelly and Ed Marynowitz are in charge. According to a report from Les Bowen of the Daily News, the Eagles have fired the following scouting staff members:

• Anthony Patch, Director of College Scouting - Had been with the Eagles for 11 years. Current position since 2012.

• Rick Mueller, Director of Pro Personnel - Joined the Eagles in 2012.

• Brad Obee, Southwest Area Scout - Joined the Eagles in 2009.

These were clearly members of the staff valued by former general manager Howie Roseman. Now that Roseman has been removed from the team's player personnel department, it's no surprise that Kelly and Marynowitz want to pick their own guys.

More changes could be on the way.

I thought Arik Armstead was the worst pick of the 1st round with the Agholar pick being an honorable mention.

On the flip side, best pick by round, IMO....

1st - Danny Shelton, Browns
2nd - Maxx Williams, Ravens
3rd - Jaelen Strong, Texans
4th - T.J. Clemmings, Vikings
5th - Grady Jarrett, Falcons
6th - Michael Bennett, Jaguars
7th - Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Browns

Agree with your picks except for Max Williams. Not the best 2nd rounder. Randy Gregory was. And best UDFA was Lael Collins.

I like the players but not when you need linemen and linebackers.

You shouldn't even think about WR's and DB's when your OLine sucks and your Dline is ok.

I wouldn't say their o-line sucked last year. The first few weeks they only had a handful of starters, but once they all came back, they were one of the better o-lines in football

Jason Peters, Evan Mathis, Jason Kelce, Todd Herremans and Lane Johnson all would rank in the top half of the players at their position. Now, Herremans is with the Colts and earlier in the offseason it seemed as though Mathis would be cut or traded, but at this point, it may have just been a rumor. Either way, they still have 3 very good players on their line.

I saw a bunch of those as steals too.

Jaelen Strong going in the 3rd was a real head-scratcher, but pretty much all the others you listed were too..
I really thought Clemmings would go in the 2nd at the latest. But there are few red flags...just not THAT many.
I have mixed feeling on Maxx Williams, but lean towards him having a nice a career.

As for Agholor. I'm pretty sure he's going to be really good. Still, he was over drafted by Philly for sure.

No matter how much time you put into the draft you'll never be as informed as the teams, as you won't be privy to the medicals and you're not present at the interviews.

I think everyone can agree that if you had the opportunity to interview these prospects your opinions on some of them will change. Fans don't get that chance. They don't get to see how they respond to questions asked, how well they do when the coaches test them on the chalkboard.

Those guys were steals IMO, but it happens in every draft. There are always the "how in the heck is this guy still there" selections.

Dupree at 22 and Brown at 32 are up there as far as best picks. I would probably give it to Brown honestly. I saw many mocks with him going as high as 9. The rest of your list is spot on.

Armstead was a bad pick, but Dorsett to the Colts didn't make much sense to me either. Not only was it a reach, but a reach at a position they had zero meed for.

wayne is gone.....yes they added johnson, but he is on the downside of his career. they got themselves an acrobatic speedster who can play outside or in the slot, as well as return kicks. It was a great pick for the Colts. He gives Luck yet another strong weapon in the passing game.
