So, do we keep Flo in 2008 ?

These numbers are just silly. I gave you market numbers for a guy his age.

Yes, because you are an NFL GM and know the market.
Neither of us knows what his market will be next spring. I think its higher than you do. Only time will tell. What you gave me was a guess, just like what I gave you. We shall see.

If we could sign him for 5 or 6 a year with a fair signing bonus for 3 years, I would be in favor of it. However, I don't see any compelling reason for him to basically sign for the same money he's already getting. On the one hand, you've got lots of posters saying that he's not All Pro but he's better then average and on the other hand, you've got people saying the market for a guy like him is 5 or 6. Well, it can't be both. Either he is a better then average LT or he's not. If he's better then average, better then average LTs, even his age, get paid way more then 5 or 6 a year. If he's not, then why would you over pay him? I would pay him if it were a short contract. 2 or 3 years, no more.

going a little further with this thought...Flo seems to play a much better RT than LT atleast at the probowl he plays very well on the right side...

now I realize that it is never good idea to start sliding lots of pieces around so this is a thought being thought out loud...

move Flo to RT move Colombo inside and use Kosier to back up all three inside positions of course that is if we have a LT...in fantasy it looks nice but in reality it would probably never work

Wow.

So Flo takes a couple of snaps at RT in the probowl and from those handful of snaps compared to his ENTIRE CAREER at LT you come to the conclusion that he's a better RT then LT?

Don't you think the cowboys would of moved him to RT by now if that were the case? Or do you have the ability to evaluate a player from your couch (comparing a handful of snaps in a meaningless game) better then all those NFL scouts and coaches?

Does anybody think the JJ is going to lock up our franchise QB for the next five+ years and ask an injury/penalty/mental gaffe prone mid-30's LT to have his backside.

Unless Free really impresses the coaching staff, we're going LT with Cleveland's pick next year. And get Mcfadden out of your heads, we're going to find a nice 2nd/3rd round complement to MBIII. You don't want to cripple you're salary structure by spending top 3 draft money on a RB, when you have an offensive line that Wade Phillips himself could run behind.

No, they don't. They get paid about $7 million per year max.

Wow - a blast from the past!

It's a good time to be a Tony Romo and Dallas Cowboy Fan. Life is good.
