So... Does 11-5 seem more attainable now?

I'm too lazy for all that. :D Tis water under the bridge.

It's no different than last year when Romo blazed through the pre-season and I was livid that they didn't start him in the regular season (along with a very small portion of the posting population). For four weeks I dealt with the Bledsoe love. It was truly sickening... Then something special finally happened and the rest is history. Munchis out!

Then I propose the same thing, you should make a list of both and then the true belivers will give them the Dante Hall Treatment! :D

No way we lose to the Packers. Of all the 3-0 teams left, the Packers are the biggest frauds. They have ZERO running game and it will soon catch up with them.

I'm thinking this too.

My prediction was 12-4, but then again, I always predict that every year. :D

What a horrible lambasting you took from philo beddoe and superjerryhater5x. I'm just glad you made it out alive.

Didn't see 11-5 in there, either. Maybe I missed it.

As I stated, I am too lazy to dig all that up. Thanks for unearthing the one thread I started because I got tired of the constant pissing on Wade. I posted in many a thread around that time in support of what was going on while also arguing with those that said this season was gone down the tubes. Now get going Fido. you've got some more digging to do.

Ok, back to reality in this thread......injuries happen and it's a long season. What happens if Romo gets hurt? Or we lose a couple of starting O-Linemen?

Predictions are nice....but irrelevant in this week-to-week NFL. The odds are good we can win this coming week and I'll go out on a limb here and guess we'll be favored. Beyond that, it's a crapshoot.

That took me all of 1 minute.

I just figured if there were more, since you were concerned enough about them to start a whole thread - calling these mystery people out for "lambasting" you - you would, well...know who they were.

But ti's cool, dude. You were totally persecuted for your prediction of the Cowboys having an OK year.

Spend a few more minutes looking then Fido or move along. ;) Trust me when I say you aren't going to coax me into researching threads/posts from 6 months ago to prove a point to you. If we never argued about it (or disagreed) then I thank you for your wonderful perspective on something you weren't involved in. I was poking fun because I like to do that. That's my MO. On occasion I will take the unpopular stance on something and normally get roasted, lambasted, challenged (shall we pull out a thesaurus..) then later follow up if I feel the need to do so. ;) It's a free country.

You're right. Realistically, It should be looked at on a week to week basis. However, one can dream.

Oh, come on, research them! We can't let the roasters, lambasters and challengers get off scott free, otherwise what is the point of bringing this up? Remember, "toot, toot!" :)

I'd take Carolina off that list for sure. I do have a strange feeling that this team will lose to Green Bay, even though the game is at home.

I am going with 13-3, with losses to the Patriots, Packers, and one divisional game (take your pick, Commanders, Eagles or Giants). They always play us tough.

You just want an adorable pet dog name, too, don't you?

Sparky? Butch? What's your preference?

You can't expect people to actually know who called them out when they try the reverse-call-out thread, can you?

In truth, it does leave me a touch jealous, but I really want to see how soemone who was among the majority vote ended up on the losing side of the argument. The sacred "tooting of the horn" should not be thrown about in such a reckless fashion!

If I absolutely HAD to pick 5 losses, that's where they'd come from. But I'm pretty confident we go 2-0 against the Commanders and that neither Green Bay nor Carolina will pose much of a thread in late November.

My best guess is 12-4. However, 13-3 looks attainable.
Carolina's front 7 is underachieving badly, and their secondary is abysmal. I would be very disappointed if we lost there.

We WILL NOT lose to Green Bay at home, or anywhere for that matter. Possible losses? New England, @ Philly, @ Giants, @ Skins. I don't think we'll lose all four of these games, but we most likely will drop 2-3 of them. We're obviously better than any of the other NFC East teams, but road division wins are tough. Rams without Jackson? Win. Bills, even in Buffalo? Win. Minnesota? Win. Jets on turkey day? Win. Carolina? Toss-up. Detroit? Win.

superpunk(surprise!), summerisfun, BigDFan5(#230), note post #237 on as well..., post #256..., pretty much all of page 7.

Starts at post #191 when it was realized that Parcells was gone. While I am totally embarassed at my display in this thread, I believe this is what caused me to place the word "lambasted" in the title of today's post. I would like to apologize to anyone beforehand since you'll note that I acted around the age of 13 in most of this thread.

Tame when compared to the others

I'm done looking... It wasn't really the masses. Just a few with loud keyboards. My grief was less about Wade and more about the optimism that positivity was on the horizon. As soon as Parcells left the "oh there goes the 2007 season" posts were ridiculous. I felt, and still feel, that we go at least 11-5 and make a deep playoff run. I'm not sure how any of that would seem to you as an "OK" season (superpunk).

ZZZ

It just took me awhile to dig that stuff up. I feel like I lost a few minutes of my life too. I'm sure you'll both have something witty to say to that as well.
