You know Mozilla, I'm glad you finally let us know what you think about Romo. I haven't slept for the last three nights wondering about your impressions.

Now that's funny......:lmao:

And I won't sleep for the next three, now that I know Romo doesn't have Mo's Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval...

Is Moz a troll? Just wanted to know before I ripped into him. :)

Clove, this board has strict rules forbidding you from being nasty to braindead little trolls desperately seeking attention in here...

You have to be nice to the jagoffs... whatever you do, for God's sake, don't ever be rude or sarcastic to pissants like that...

You could wind up in trouble with one of the mods, and all over an arrogant, ignorant post from an arrogant, ignorant poster...

Don't call the troll a twit, a moron, a sociopathic misfit loser... no matter HOW true that may be...

Hes shown soom things to me like his Quick release. Commanders now have tape on Romo. ROmo was lucky on the pass to To in the endzone that it wasnt picked off. If he does well in the Commanders game then I will belleive in him.

I wonder, are you impressed with Jason Campbell??

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... you Skins have a first round draft pick who can't even get on the field, and you're gonna slag on Romo??

He's way too overconfident for a guy that has started ONE career game in this league....I really don't care for his wisecracks either, just keep your mouth shut and prove yourself on the field!

I don't think this is true at all. Both BP and JJ went to Henson's workout for the scouts, both were impressed with his workout, and both of them recruited him to the 'Boys. Henson actually chose the 'Boys because BP was the head coach.

However, it was apparent to BP that Henson just could not get it. He couldn't process information as quickly as it needed to be processed, and there probably was a personality clash as well. Will Henson turn it around? Maybe, but the track record for those BP has let go is not very good.

I was intrigued by Henson, really hoping he would come along. Like many fans I bought into his powerful arm and smarts. I was probably hoping the second coming of Aikman. I actually didn't like or was impressed with Romo because I thought he would just muddy up the waters. He seemed to be Paytons boy. I was also annoyed with his cockiness and thought he was not a 100 percent into football, considering his golfing interest.

But then in preaseason I started paying attention to him. He was quick, decisive and gutsy. I said to myself wow, this guy does have determination and talent.

His 3 interception game in the second half of the Giants game didn't bother me. He was thrown to the wolves against a very good team that was was making mince meat out of our line. But despite his mistakes, he moved the ball, helped us score points and wasn't even overwhelmed.

This guy has grit and is aggressive. Romo has a lot of physical talent and is smart. He just may be a keeper and another formidable weapon on offense. He already is a leader in the eyes of his teammates and his play and attitude has not only positively infected the offense but the defense as well. When you have players on defense talking encouragingly about Romo, what does that tell you.

Romo is a hard worker and spends a great amount of time studying his opponent. Seriously, what more can you ask for of an emerging quarterback.

So far TR's proven to me he isn't freaking Drew Bledsoe. And for now, that's enough.

Because it means he can rid of the ball in less time than it takes to paint the Mona Lisa, can check down without turning to a pillar of salt, can rifle a slant or out before defenders close in, can move inside and outside the pocket without appearing to be a walking advertisement for arthritis, and can scan the field without looking like he's wearing horse blinders.

All Tony needs to do to win my absolute worship is to develop a deep ball game that stars my boy TG. Then he's gold. :) But even if he doesn't, winning and keeping Bill around will be more than enough.

LaTunaNostra, Drew Bledsoe gets rid of the ball as long as it took to paint the Mona Lisa? I get your drift and sarcasm, but you certainly aren't being realistic. Any balanced fan knows that Romo can get rid of the ball in less time than Drew, as compared to painting the Sistine Chapel and also can check down without turning into petrified wood or coprolite.

On a serious note, Bledsoe is still a good quarterback when superbly protected but clearly he is in the winter of his career. He has had a great NFL run and deserves that respect. Romo has a bright future if he continues to work hard.

He has showed us he can win one game vs a good D on the road.

We will have to wait and see if he can continue to help this team get wins.

We just don't know how it will turn out at this time.

This is not to say he will be all-pro and have a great career with the cowboys, it is also not to say that he will never amount to anything, nor is it to say he will be an ok but not great/bad QB for this team.

It is a matter of just not knowing until he gets more games under his belt.

Before the Carolina game I placed no expectation good or bad on Romo, just kicked back and hoped for the best. I came away from the game seeing a lot of good out of Romo and just hope he can continue to play at that level. If he can he will help the Cowboys get where they want to be

I think why many fans are giddy with optimism is because he is physically performing at a very high level at times including moving up in the pocket and throwing a deadly strike to a receiver, escaping the rush and threading the ball into tight spaces. Regardless of Romo's inexperience he has more than athletic talent. He may have elite quarterback potential if he can play consistently well the remainder of this season against the upcoming good teams.
