To New England... I love how if it was us, every player from opposing teams would come out and say that we're trying to buy a championship.

And Rick Gosselin would blast us for spending a bunch of money (and a high draft pick) on players who are 29, 34 and 37 years old.

Not really.

We signed Kitna and Brooking and no one said much about it, Galloway and Springs aren't big names either. Peppers would be the only real notable addition they've added, and they are giving up picks for him (potentially) just like we gave up for Roy.

Don't forget, they also got Fred Taylor from the Jags.

I think he'll be a nice addition for them.

Somehow, someway, the Pats generally win. They get a nice blend of old and young players.

I guess it's Bellicheck. They have lost so many asst coaches throughout the last few years.

It's been a nice offseason for them so far, for sure, if they wind up with Peppers as well.

Taylor, Springs, Galloway to help out Moss and Welker, and then you add in Peppers as well and that's a good amount of talent that they can plug in for a season or two and make another couple of serious runs at the title.

Galloway can be a force in that offense.

And I dont care about his age because he still has all the same tools he has always had but now you put him in an offense where he will get lost because of all the weapons.

Wowza.

Utter nonsense. The Cowboys have a history of success and a great organization.Just a bit further in the past.

Right now as many of the posters have pointed out the Patriots ar doing something similar to what the Cowboys of '96-97-98-99 were roundly criticized for. Signing big names to long term or signing bonus heavy deals in order to rebuild the success of previous years with their remaining core.

Galloway, Springs, Fred Taylor all have serious injury questions built into their career, Peppers played 2006-7 like he lost his fire, then played 2008 like it was a contract year, Galloway lost his fire in 2002, Springs and Jackson are former starters who are no better than back ups.

Buying a championship means overpaying for players, I for one don't consider Galloway nor Springs someone I would consider buying a championship, as far as I know they came pretty cheap......

BTW, Brookings had a better year last season than both Galloway and Springs. So are we buying a championship.

Peppers on the other hand, would be a great trade for cheap, they are not mortgaging nothing, not overpaying for him for draft picks, I think the Pats are just picking up the right players for their scheme.....Galloway wont start niether will Springs, but great depht, dont forget they sign Taylor also on the cheap......

Wow. I would have preferred to give up a first and third for Peppers instead of Roy Overrated.

And kept Owens.

Now THAT would have been some REAL fire power.

Because it's the Patsies, they get a lot of love and pats on the back for their free agent spending. But the Pats window is beginning to close, and there is no guarantee that Tom Brady will be the same Tom Brady before his season ending injury. So the Patsies are spending money in hopes to stay on top of the east because the Bills did improve last year (although they declined towards the end of the season). The Dolphins are an improving team. The Steelers in the North are the team to beat, and don't count out the Colts or the Chargers (they are my pick in the AFC) at making a serious run at a Super Bowl.

The Patsies are scared and are throwing chemistry out the window in hopes of buying a championship.

They have the 2 most important parts in place. The great head coach and the great QB.

When you have both of those in place, go out and put talent around it.

Wowza.
With that speed, he is going to be a factor. Wes working the short field, with Moss taking away the deep. The middle will be exposed for Galloway to do his thing.
