They have the 2 most important parts in place. The great head coach and the great QB.

When you have both of those in place, go out and put talent around it.

Playing in a weak division also helps Belicheat.

Oh snap! the Jets, Fins and Bills aren't gonna be rollovers anymore?

Too bad...so sad.

I think I just heard a toilet flush..........:laugh2:

Getting veteran bargains on short-term contracts is the smart way to operate.

Dallas tried last year with Zach Thomas, with so-so results. NE is doing it for depth. Taylor and Galloway will be reserves for them, not starters, unless someone is hurt.

And Peppers is a superstar. It's hard to argue with getting a superstar in his prime, especially when you've got a great shot to win it all as they do.

Even if Brady is only 80% they will blow the Stealers to kingdom come next year. The AFC won't be close.

nice first post...The Cowboys history of success if FAR FAR greater then theirs ever will be and the organization is not on par with ours

I think that we are talking about their current organization - you know, the one that is making these acquisitions. That organization is about as superior to the current (Jerry fully in control) Dallas organization as a team can get.

The difference between having a functional football-first management structure with an effective and empowered coaching staff and our Jerry and Wade Vaudeville act is like night and day. The playoff results don't lie.

It seems that the first staff any coach puts together isalways his best. Never seems to equal it. Now with Landry its arguable that the staff he put together in the 70's was his best = not his first one in the 60's. But usually that is the case. Bellicek had a great staff his first 4 years or so. But its not been as good since. They clearly have had more talent lately but have not been able to get over the hump.
